It has been 5 years but no school like Miami or USC will give him a look.
Did him lying to Sankey ruin his career?

Nah.
He’s waiting on his best chance back.
He’s in the perfect place, making great money, and can pick what he thinks is best.

He can pick as long as it's not the SEC. Sankey will never allow him back in the SEC. If Freeze wants it he'll have to wait for Sankey to be gone.

Probably. Hard for any school that wants to go into a living room and talk to a mama when your coach was calling up escort services. Really hard to recruit against the big boys with that baggage.

He was paying players. Now all players get paid. He should have a shot at a good school again soon. My only hesitation if I’m a mid level SEC team is can he recruit if he isn’t paying the players under the table.

Miami wpuld take him so fast toyr head would spin, they are likely not smart enough to offer. Cocaine and Hookers are a Miami gameday tradition.
USC is just stupid, hope they pull the dirt over their grave with the next hire.

If he goes 11-1 this year an SEC school will do whatever it takes to get Sankey on board.

He could end up at Miami or FSU and win big.

A school like Ohio State that has zero integrity would probably consider him if they need a coach here in the nearish future.

Big time schools have options, no need to hire Freeze when they can hire other equivalent options with no baggage.

With NIL the paying players is a mute point. Can Hugh be trusted? He’s done his time, IMO. But any program will still weigh the pros and cons of bringing him onboard.
Personally, I think he’s paid the price and deserves another shot at the big time. But he’s still treated like a criminal for some reason. Was there more to his story than hit the public?

He would have to go back to cheating and escort services. Still an average head coach. No bother wasting time with someone who has baggage but didn't win anything when he had all those players. Go get some younger blood and get someone who is smart at the cheating business.

He was buying escorts for kids.

Prostitution should be legal. Prostitutes should verify age.

Liberty has clearly shown they can afford to pay him handsomely, and is obviously willing to spend lots of money on their athletics programs. I don't think he's leaving there for anything less than a top tier job. He can clearly be successful at Liberty.
