Doesn't the 4 game rule allow him to redshirt?

Any update on what his injury completely was and surgery, etc? I haven't seen any news since the game ended.

I mean I'm sure the NCAA will give him a medical redshirt for the year..but I don't know if he transfers or not. I think the plan has always been to hold Jones and let him grow. Mullen today called him the future of the program at the position. Who knows. We will see.

He has used his redshirt year already. R JR

He could get a medical exemption.

Why not just come out and be the number one overall pick?

Wouldn't he only be a redshirt sophomore then? Myles Brennan was in his class and is a redshirt soph, is why i ask the question

Redshirted in 2016 - Freshman
Played in 11 games (8 starts) in 2017 - RS Freshman
Played in 13 games in 2018 (all games as starter) - RS Sophomore
Played in 3 games in 2019 - RS Junior

So, he will already have one more year of eligibility for 2020. He would need a Medical 6th year for 2021.

Really don't know where he goes, as far as fitting into an offense. If he couldn't work in Mullen's offense, where is he going to fit?

I think it will depend on how this season plays out with Trask and Emory. If either or both of them outperform Franks, I could see him transferring.
