Well...I’ll admit that I’ve listened to finebaum off and on for about 15 years.
He’s a health nut and used to do long distance running. He doesn’t touch alcohol or anything with sugar in it.

Seems like I heard he’s an obsessed distance runner. Wouldn’t surprise me to learn he’s a vegan-type. Went out with with a vegan chick recently and she was borederline anorexic.

Pawl used to be fat...there are photos out there from his early days covering the Bear. Thought I heard he had a medical issue that led to his lifestyle change and extreme weight loss.

Mike Slive helped him get the SECN gig. I believe he was the first person hired on SECN. I have listened to him almost 20 years and he has come a very long way from AM radio to where he is now and has always had friends in high places.
His wife Linda is a physician so I'm sure she has a hand in him living a very healthy lifestyle.

Useless true story.
a couple years ago he was at Kentucky with the SEC Nation for the Florida game in front of the library. Kentucky sports radio was also there along with analyst Jared Lorenzen. Well the SEC Network ordered pizza from the sponsor.. unfortunately Jared Lorenzen and the KSR staff intercepted said order with predictable results. Long story short Paul went off on KSR and the Hefty Lefty and forced KSR to pony up for replacement food for the crew.
TLDR Paul might eat? Well if the best 300 lb QB in SEC history doesn't eat his lunch.

He still plays his record collection of MLK's speeches his father gave him, as a teen, every year on MKL Day. And admits to crying. He was bragging.

I am very surprised how well he pulls off his TV and radio gigs. Have been around him in person a few times and I always thought he was socially awkward, staring at the ground, not making eye contact. Always found his wife to be very friendly and nice.

That's exactly how I imagine him in real life. When SEC Nation first started, Paul looked awkward as hell doing those SEC Nation bits. I stopped watching after that, but I'm sure he still comes off as awkward in some of those segments.
There is also a clip of when he first joined ESPN and was a guest on Gameday. Everyone seemed to hate him, especially Desmond Howard.

I saw him in a dark, smokey diner in Green Springs back in 91. He wasn’t eating though.
