That's not what the arse clown said. He said CEO couldn't tie his own shoe. So... saban lost to a coach that YOUR fans think can't tie his own shoe.

Saban went 7-6 his first year at Bama. When did you start watching Alabama football 2009?

And it only Ed O 1 year to lose 5 games, it took Saban 4 years to do that.
LSU lost by more combined points in 2020 than Alabama has lost by in the past decade
LSU 2020: 102 points (State 10, Mizzou 4, AU 37, aTm 13, Alabama 38)
Alabama 2011- 2020: 99 points ('11- 3, '12- 5, '13- 20, '14- 13, '15- 6, '16- 4, '17- 12, '18- 28, '19- 8)

Yes he does. Google 2006 Miami Dolphins.
He was halfway out the door heading to Tuscaloosa. Asterisk year.

Then when he got to Tuscaloosa he lost 6 games that year as well.

The only thing O understands is that lots of money and being the HC at LSU can land you some fine swamp rats

I guess this must mean something but I’m not sure exactly what it is...
....oh yes, remember...Only two teams in history of football (professional and CFB) have finished a season with 16 wins and 0 losses.
2018 N. Dakota State;
1894 Yale ( who also has won 17 NCAA recognized NCs).
So I guess if you judge a team by total wins, a completely stupid dumb-arse thought, we must give the nod to 2018 North Dakota State... far better record than any Saban, LSU, or Clemson team. Case closed so STFU.
Gol dang it the stupidity of repetitive boring trolls on here is just just ... Jeeezzz it gets old...

The 1973 Dolphins won the Super Bowl. How'd 2020 LSU do under Ed?

To be fair, Saban also lost to Dennis Franchione. Saban dropping one game to Ed Orgeron isn't that bad, comparatively.

Inherit a good roster, hit the lotto in the QB portal, and have his own AD tell him he should give Joe Brady a job?

You seem like a reasonable poster so surely you know how ignorant this sounds.

Almost like you can't judge a coach by plucking one game out of the sky. If that were the case then Kevin Sumlin and Dennis Franchione would be among the all-time greats.

Do I have bad info on how the hiring process went for Brady? I thought Coach O was kinda "setup" to talk to him.
Gene Chizik went undefeated and won a title by hitting the lotto on a transfer QB and inheriting a good roster but I think he can at least wholly own hiring Gus Malzahn in 2009 though.
Larry Coker arguably coached one of the best teams of all-time in 2001...and he inherited a great roster and staff too.
Some of the best teams in the last 20 years have not been particularly great at HC.

True, but that was the pros', something we ALL know that Orgeron will never get to coach.

O brought in Saints coaches in 2008 to speak to the offensive staff and Brady was one of those. He decided to hire someone to help them transition to more of a spread offense and the offensive coordinator said he was impressed with Brady so thats who they decided to hire. No one was forced to hire anyone.
Getting Burrow was quite a bit different than Auburn getting Newton. No one really wanted Burrow outside of LSU and Cincinnati and he wasn't exactly great his first season.
The 2019 team barely had any of Miles' players. Not sure why people insist O inherited some super talented roster, there were more fullbacks than scholly receivers on the team when O took over, the talent on both lines had massively declined, and there was no quarterback development to speak of.

Saban missed big-time on the quarterback decision but if you look at 2004 and 2007 Dolphins compared to his 2 years...it doesn't look quite a bad. Hard to win in the NFL without a quarterback. Still had a winning season, went 15-17, and produced a DPoY winner (Jason Taylor...pretty late in his career too). Dolphins were 4-12 in 2004; 1-15 in 2007. If he didn't frick up on lowballing Drew Brees, Louisianans would be a Super Bowl poorer but Miles definitely wins multiple titles at LSU because Saban would still be coaching Brees w/ no arm in Miami.
