Willing to match up their schedules? Alabama, Missouri, and maybe LSU(with a pass rush with a pulse) would beat FSU. Boston freaking College ran for 146 yards on them. Auburn ran for an SEC championship record amount against a Missouri defensive line that has been pretty damn good all year.

Florida State is legitimate. Don't underestimate them.

FSU brings the best balance of offense & defense that Auburn will face this year. If Saban wasn't so stubborn, Bama probably wins that game 7/10 times. His ego got in his way and he had to "prove" that Bama could run just as well as Auby. His advantage was a more balanced offense and he couldn't (or wouldn't) take advantage.

That said, FSU will take the passing yards and has the QB & WR's to do it. Look at what the Mizzu WR's were doing in that game. FSU also has a great group of RBs. If both teams play to their potential, FSU probably wins.

I'd really like to see the SEC keep the trophy but AU might be facing the toughest opponent over that streak.

It amazes me all the uga fans who somehow forget the first 3 quarters. That game shouldn't have been close.

Yeah....Jameis is going to have a field day. FSU's defense is also better than Bama's. :/

I always temper my expectations because we play in the ACC. But that doesn't matter this year. FSU has been on another level. Our only weakness is our punter.

4 weeks for Pruitt to scheme auburns offense? I'll take FSU and the points all day. If you have any doubts about how good FSU is, check the spread.

For proof how good Auburn is, check their games against the spread. Bama was going to destroy AU too, until the game started. Florida St. is a fine team, but to under estimate Auburn, and their running game is suicide. You say give Pruitt 4 weeks? Give Gus 4 weeks, and I like our chances.

Yep.

Complaining about FSU's schedule is only applicable if they pulled an Ohio State and eeked out about 4-5 wins.

FSU smoked everyone.

And who cares if Clemson is their "best win" - that game was over at halftime - and the SEC wasn't able to smoke the doors off of Clemson.

So give me a break.

FSU may be the best an SEC team has faced in the championship game... my hope is that we force some early mistakes, and the fact that they haven't been tested will give us an advantage.

The goal is get it to the 4th quarter... no one has done that yet to FSU.

Prior to SECC Mizzou D avg only 119 ypg rushing, FSU D avg 116 ypg. Auburn secondary is vulnerable to the deep ball, but it they can make 2 stops and get 1 turnover I think they can win it.

There is a chance FSU scored 60 points on Auburn.

The difference is that FSU has talented depth in addition to top starting talent. Mizzou was just plain gassed by the 4th quarter. Oh, and considering no SEC refs, holding might actually come into play in this game. Was amazed it actually started being called in the SECCG--hadn't been all year in the SEC.

Bama passed for 277 yds and ran for 218 yds in the Iron Bowl. What exactly is your definition of balanced?

I haven't watched Mizzou live very much this year, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I've been under the impression that while the Mizzou D-line is an extremely good group, they are mostly a pass rushing line. They are relentless rushing the passer and making noise in the backfield, but even before the SECCG they were saying the same thing. Great pass rush, suspect run stopping.

Once again, I could be wrong, but that's just what I have gathered.

FSU isn't that great, there just is not a dominant team this year so they could very well win it all.
