If the WNBA and women's college basketball went away forever, do not think many people would notice.

What's with the weird small dick hostility from the pig fans?

Got cocks on the mind?

Wanna know what winning a CWS is like? I can describe it to you. I'll even speak slowly

No, I couldn't care less about it to be perfectly honest. Its a terrible product.

ESPN is pushing it, like you say OP, because they carry that tournament, and not the men's.

Reality is, no one is going to ESPNs site for NCAA tournament scores for the women's games, and they know that, and they choose to ignore facts and push it anyway.

It is what it is.

Don't even start with that dude

He's a not-so-secret tater, so that pretty much explains the critical thinking skills you're witnessing

Some obviously. But not as much as the ESPN exposure would suggest.

ESPN is owned by Disney. Many, if not most, here know that. ESPN is now in the business .... just like most of the rest of Corporate America ... of trying to dictate demand rather than satisfy demand.

Said simpler - they no longer want to serve up the sports programming that maximizing viewers. They want to define what viewers consume. If that means less viewers ... and thus less profit ? Disney and ESPN have both proven that's a chance they'll take.

It just makes me dislike womens sports more. I miss the beach volleyball. Just for the Brazillian babes and the T&A.

Personally ? I do enjoy Softball. Its a faster game than baseball. Fun to watch.

Also Women's Golf. Just because its a lesson, as I'm out there trying to beat the shite out of the ball, when a woman literally a foot shorter and 125 pounds smaller can just "flick" the ball farther than I can try to hammer it.

Same with Women's Billiards.

I did fill out a women's bracket.

Haven't watched a single game all season. but I'd have a perfect bracket right now if not for...Georgia.

Georgia sucking at basketball apparently is gender neutral.

The SEC has a few smokin' hot beach volleyball teams.

To your point about Disney/ABC/ESPN ... I absolutely despise the culture of that particular multinational but ... women now make up 55% of the U.S. population. And if women have shown us anything it's that, on some issues and interests they are peas in a pod.

Combine that with older men, basketball purists, who prefer the old school strategy of the team oriented women's game over the run and gun individualism of the modern men's game ... the numbers just make sense. It's a smart business move. It's forward thinking whether we like it or not. It's inevitable.

Furthermore, advertisers are buying-in to the tune of billions. There's a market for it both in female centric goods and services as well as apparel.

I like gladiator sports, as well as most male skill competitions fan but, I also like women's college (not lesbian pro) basketball, softball, golf, tennis, soccer and equestrian.

I had three daughters and I have a handful of granddaughters. Fathers and grandfathers will probably relate.

I hear we have a pretty good women’s team, but I give zero fricks. It pisses me off how much we pay Mulkey when that money could go to sports people actually care about.
