MSU gave up the least sacks in the SEC.
They were 100th in the nation in pass attempts per game, and had a dual threat QB (a damned good one, at that).

Surely that had a big effect on quoted portion of this post...

Not to say MSU doesn’t have a quality offensive or anything, but they don’t have the best.

That is an impressive bunch of dudes right there. Lets see what we got...

LT - Andrew Thomas True soph. Preseason ALLSEC Second-Team
LG - Kendall Baker Redshirt Sr.
C - Lamont Gaillard Sr. Preseason ALLSEC Second-Team
RG - Big Ben Cleveland Redshirt Soph.
RT - Isaiah Wilson Redshirt Fr. former 5*

Key Reserves who have a shot at starting....
Trey Hill Guard Fr #62 Composite
Jamaree Salyer Fr. 5* #10 Composite
Cade Mayes Fr. 5* #22 Composite
D'Maccus Hayes Jr. 4* #2 JC OT Composite
Netori Johnson 4* #87 Composite

I included their recruiting rankings to give an indication of their talent potential. Bama got the experience in terms of class. But our Oline is just as talented. We're good for a few years.

They’ll say no now, but if Alabama ends up having a really good RB or RB duo they’ll say it’s because of Alabama’s elite OL rather then how good the RBs are.

I thought Bama’s OL was their weak link last year.

And exactly how productive was that big bad bama Oline VS LSU's front 7 last year at bama? How many yards did the tide rush for that night?

It was a bad night. Let’s try again in November.

It was good at running the ball (at least outside the OT), but sucked at pass protection. If not for Hurts running ability, the OL would have given up three times as many sacks as they did.

Georgia definitely has depth.

We lack the experience to punch higher than bama in the preseason.

But preseason lists rarely stack up at the end of the year.

I expect a lot of Dawgs to be bigger household names by seasons end (isaiah Wynn, Andrew thomas, and lamont Gaillard were all undervalued last preseason).

With no passing game a smart DC, and Aranda is one of the best in the country, will load the box. You will see with just the threat of Tua, how that will add great productivity to the running game. All of the decent-to-good Ds made it much more difficult for Bama to run the ball. You saw in the second half vs UGA how the threat of the pass also opened up the running game. After LSU 2016, Bama had a hard time getting by vs decent or better Ds. It has now changed.

It was not, it was the absence of the threat of a passing game. It's very difficult to run when you have no threat of a passing game. Cole Cubelic kept insisting all year that Bama's was the best in the SEC. Idk if that was true, but they were good, just no help at QB.

He would not get rid of the ball on time. If his first read, usually Ridley, was not there, and he had to be wide open, he would hold the ball, then wander out to his right, often completely out of bounds. He rarely stepped up in the pocket, which was often there, and made it to his 2nd read infrequently. Much of the time it was the QB's fault. You had to look at the tape to see what was really happening.

Georgia has a stupid amount of talent and badass Oline coach.

I think Alabama has a chance to be the best if Learherwood takes the next step. Wasn’t he staring at LT in the 2nd half? Guy has AA potential
