How many yards did the tide rush for that night?
If you recall that there are a couple of other aspects to football, maybe you can recall UA with an advantage of 4.98 yds/play to 4.19 yds/play for LSU. So, yes, the LSU D helped improve Jalen's passing stats.
Oh... then there is the pesky 14 pt differential in scoring.

What’s up with Scott Lashley?

After Leatherwood's performance in the title, if he has a good fall camp, I could easily see him coming in at RT. It'll be interesting how the QB race shapes out, because we could see the oline shape out differently depending on who's the QB. Saban can either trust Leatherwood to protect Tua's blind side, or move Jonah there and let Leatherwood play LT like he did in the title. All of this is dependent of course of who is the QB and if Leatherwood beats out Womack.
You've really got to sit back and realize how hard it is to be a HC. Freshman like Tua, Najee, Thompson, and Smith all contributed and helped Bama win the title and are expected to start or at least play a bigger role next year. Then you have Leatherwood, who also contributed. Are you going to allow the other freshman to start, but sit him, then expect him to just plug and play when Jonah leaves? Or are you going to start him over a veteran Womack? I know comparing different positions and scenarios are apples to oranges, but it would suck to me personally if I helped my team win a title, then have to sit back and watch another guy start over me because of seniority, but see other younger guys get their opportunity.

Maybe the best in conference and one of the best in the country....but not easily.

Truth be told I find that to be the most overlooked part of the title game. Williams was not impressive to me but Leatherwood came in and shut it down. It didn’t look like they gave him extra help either. I legitimately think that had Williams not gotten hurt, UGA might have gotten to Tua (successfully) another time or two and that could have been the difference.

I think so too. Jonah could and should be a first or second round pick in the next draft, but he didn't have as smooth of a transition from RT to LT (as you would expect a younger player).

Tua had a lot of pressure in the NCG, that is why he threw into triple coverage three times. The Bama coach’s knew it and called slants and screens for 8 of his 14 completions.

Unfortunately that last pass wasn't a slant or a screen.

I love casher but no way in hell he starts over leatherwood. Also Womack may not start over Wills

That is what is so frustrating about Football. All but 4 people play well enough to win, but it didn't matter. UGA secondary cost them in both of their loses.

This unit lost one guy and opened the way for 265 yards rushing a game in 2017.
Will they rush for more than 116 against LSU this year?
36 attempts
116 yards

Probably, but who really gives a shite? They're still going to beat LSU for the 8th straight year either way
