1 conference title in 5 years and we are talking most dominant?
Three National Titles in the last seven years with two seperate teams, dominant.

Make him the most dominant coach in the short term in NCAA history?
If Saban gets caught paying players under the table, molesting boys in the showers, wrecking a motorcycle while giving his mistress a ride and paying cash bounties to his players if they injure opposing players, does that make him the biggest douchebag in football history?

How many titles does LSU have? You can even use the Gump method.

I mean take over a program incapable of beating LA Monroe and turning them into 3/4 National champs....(yea I know Saban coached against La Monroe).... I mean in this era it's hard to imagine that anyone is really even close. Bobby Bowden did it in a Boise-esk conference but no where near 3/4
No. He has one sec title while at Bama.

No. Why do you Gumps claim those BS titles. WIthout those "titles" you still have the most, so why claim titles that makes your real titles seem shitty too. It speaks volume about the Bama Nation that lets its football team's success, define them as a person.

In all seriousness,,,, the fact that he brought LSU back from the bottom dwellers of college football, (not just the SEC) cements him as the best modern coach in college football..
huh?... LSU had a rough go of it at the end of dinardo's tenure, but it was a top 20 program historically before Saban ever stepped foot on campus... you make it sound like they were vanderbilt.

Saban has won enough (at two schools no less) to prove that he is one of the best of all time. PERIOD.
It's a fact that no one can deny.

You ever heard of John Wooden?

If so, I don't think he needs to win another title to prove he is the best college football coach of the past ten years. Three national titles in 10 years with two different teams makes him the best.
This. Saban is already the best coach since Bear Bryant. He doesnt need another title. I'm just glad he helped LSU get to an elite level again and I will always be grateful for that. The only bad thing about him as a coach is sometimes he puts the team only cruise control, once they get a lead ad it's come back to bite him more than once. Also, he has been somewhat a mercenary.

The ignorance of other programs is a gumps Achilles heal.

Of course a gump would be dumb enough to count 14 titles that the majority of don't mean shite; to make themselves feel impotent

Auburn has 9 if they count like gumps...actually, we don't know how to count like gumps so I don't think any of us could tell you. It seems pretty arbitrary though so we'll go ahead and just say whatever number is 1 more than Bama. Bama claiming bogus national championships is the single dumbest thing I have seen in sports. It's like a guy with $200,000,000 in the bank, cooking the books to make it look like $300,000,000.
To answer the question, in the short term and we are only talking about football coaches, I don't see how the answer can't be yes. 3 in 4 years...4 in 7 years, with 2 different teams after going on an NFL vacation.

What if Les Miles wins another at LSU this year? Does that make him the most dominant coach to ever eat grass?
