Make him the most dominant coach in the short term in NCAA history? I mean take over a program incapable of beating LA Monroe and turning them into 3/4 National
champs....(yea I know Saban coached against La Monroe).... I mean in this era it's hard to imagine that anyone is really even close. Bobby Bowden did it in a Boise-esk conference but no where near 3/4

Of course a gump would be dumb enough to count 14 titles that the majority of don't mean shite; to make themselves feel impotent.

Isn't he asking about this era of college football?

If so, I don't think he needs to win another title to prove he is the best college football coach of the past ten years. Three national titles in 10 years with two different teams makes him the best.

The only other coach that currently could come close would be Urban if he wins a title or two at Ohio State in the next 5 years.

Of course, I'd like to believe that ol' Les could be mentioned with a title this year and another in the next two or three after that.

I would say he has already proved he's the most dominant right now.

But that's like my opinion, man.

Saban has won enough (at two schools no less) to prove that he is one of the best of all time. PERIOD.

No sense in even denying that.

In all seriousness,,,, the fact that he brought LSU back from the bottom dwellers of college football, (not just the SEC) cements him as the best modern coach in college football..

Not quite. 1 conference title in 5 years and we are talking most dominant?
