If the third loss is in the SECCG sure. I think if they had 3 going in and beat A&M they'd get in too but I don't see a scenario where they get to the SECCG wit 3 losses.

If Alabama beats Oklahoma, they’re in regardless of what happens in Auburn or Atlanta.

They’ll be at worst 7-1 in conference during the regular season and the conference championship won’t be used to hold them out.

10-3 with a loss in the SEC championship, yes

I agree, provided it was a close loss and that no major difference maker was injured during the course of the game.

The committee members are all a bunch of insufferable twats. You just never know what sort of itch their crotches may have on decision day.

About what? If I was fragile, I would not watch anymore UA games with the roller coaster of the season we are having.

Two losses, late in the year? No chance unless . . .

Vandy loses again - to KY or TN. They have a loss to Bama but will have only two loses overall.

And . . .

Texas loses to A&M. That will give them 3 overall losses - all in-conference.

Have to have luck elsewhere as well.

No he’s implying… losses to OU and Aggies in the SEC game, do they still get in

This is the problem with the SECG and all confernce championship games for that matter. In addition to jeopardizing a playoff berth, it adds to the wear and tear on players possibly leading to serious injuries. The championship games are fantastic and great fun to attend, but I reluctantly believe they have to go.

If Alabama loses 3 games than it doesn't really matter. It's ridiculous this is even a discussion to be honest.

Absolutely. Both teams in the SECCG will get in.

So, the SEC will only get one team in?? How can you leave out the #2 team in the SEC?

You don’t think other SEC teams can’t finish with fewer than 3 losses?

Texas, aTm, Vandy and Ole Miss could all finish with less than three losses right? It’s probably not gonna happen because I don’t think Bama will get three losses. Maybe they lose their third game in the playoffs and it won’t matter

I don't believe you're thinking this through. Bama finishes 7-1 & #2 in the SEC and loses in the SECCG. Georgia and Ole Miss also finish 7-1 in the SEC but are behind Alabama (Bama has h2h vs UGA). Bama is forced to play an extra game that the other two aren't forced to play. Why the hell should Bama be left out (for ND of all teams) because they had a better season than two other teams that got in?

The committee already set the precedent last year that a loss in your conference championship game doesnt matter so Bama would absolutely get in over any other SEC team not named Texas A&M.

The only way is if they lose in the SECCG, committee’s shown championship games don’t matter. No way they put a 3 loss regular season team in over a 2 loss ACC or Big12 team even if everyone thinks the 3 loss team is better. Even as a Bama fan we wouldn’t deserve to get in especially if those 3 losses were to a shitty FSU team, good Oklahoma and shitty Auburn.

10-3 sounds like an SECCG participant, which means win/lose they would be in.
