We don't match up well with Iowa. We'll need some turnovers.

What deep hole did they have? Weren’t they .500 last year? Arkansas had a deep hole.

Missouri had a .500 season for about the 115th time in their history. It was just another season for them.

Roster depth has caught up, but perhaps the rest will serve us well. Our best OL opted out but Nick Bolton is a straight killer. Even a 70% Bolt is better than our backups. We will be using AT LEAST an 8 man box, which as with State will leave us with man to man with our freshmen corners. If Iowa’s receivers can make plays they’ll do to us what Georgia and State did. If they can’t then we have a chance to pull the upset.

So you're talking about pre-Odom.

Gary Pinkel time.

2015.

Which aligns to my narrative that Odom took over an absolute disaster on more levels than most Mizzou fans are willing to comprehend honestly.

Toss in stadium teardown and NCAA investigation in year 3 and 4 of his tenure and you can really add up the challenges.

Odom stablized the program.

But as a coach, tactician (and now a recruiter) Drink has completely outclassed him.

Are they going to beat Iowa? They've given up 48, 49 and 51 points over the last three weeks as the residue of Odom's fingerprints linger. What leads you to think things will get better?

Arkan5a5 fans know what I'm talking about.

The last time I heard fans say that, it was Notre Dame upon hearing the matchup with LSU a couple years ago. Trouble defending the run, vs Fournette.

Hold it! Arkansas fans have said that Morris is the worst HC in history so you're telling me that Arkansas players are worst than Missouri players? New HC comes in and make changes in system and that is how it work. Drinkwitz is doing the same thing. Right now the COVID-19, injuries, and the opt outs have hurt Missouri down the stretch.

Um, no we have not. Teams with weak offenses, yeah, we have beat. But for teams with any resemblance to a functioning offense, we have given up 48, 49, and 51. That is very, very bad. Iowa has put points on the board, while their defense has done what it is supposed to do.

What you have witnessed, my Rocky Top friend is an average team where the good is good enough, and the less talented are simply not good enough against the talent match that particular Saturday.

Our season ended after the Arkansas game. We are simply out of bodies, and out of gas

Yeah, we were out on our feet after that game too. Getting Bama next didn't help at all.

I can see Missouri beating Iowa if they play in the middle of the season when Mizzou still had a decent number of bodies. I just think y'all are, like you said, worn down right now.
