That will put them at 6 wins and the most impressive team this season with a new coach IMO.

Drinkwitz shaping up to be the best hire - Mizzou had a deep hole to climb out of.

If we actually replaced Auburn in the West with Mizzou we may end up upgrading the west as Auburn is a complete dumpster fire right now.

Iowa will boat race us...all of their strengths directly line up with our weaknesses, and our team looks like they lost interest in the season after the 1st half of the UGA game.

The story on Mizzou will never be admitted by the fans, most of which actually don't know the first thing about their own program.

Mizzou didn't have a deep hole to climb out of.

Drink took over a really good situation at Mizzou.

You'd be hard pressed to find a P5 job where things are truly moving in a positive direction when someone is fired.

It is possible provided Iowa has several turnovers.

It will be interesting to see what the Missouri offense can do against Iowa.

We’ve struggled against strong defenses. Their offense is meh. Can we win? Sure but it has to be a low scoring game.

Iowa is Germany in 1939. Mizzou is Poland.

Probably not, no.

Our season ended after the Arkansas game. We are simply out of bodies, and out of gas

Iowa has the better team so no. In fact, many of the SEC bowl matchups are going to favor high ranked opponents.

Roundtree and the QB will have to have big games. How many have opted out of the game and how many Iowa players have opted out??

Missouri was in worse-than-Arkansas shape only a few years ago.
The program had somewhat stabilized by the time Drink showed up, but he’s ultimately the one who pointed it upwards.

How is Missouri at stopping the run ?
Iowa's offense makes Les Miles look like Mike Leach

They didn’t have a worse team than Arkansas, but they were to the point of discussing forfeiting games due to problems at the university level.

Arkansas just needed to fire Chad Morris.

So you're talking about pre-Odom.

Gary Pinkel time.

2015.

Which aligns to my narrative that Odom took over an absolute disaster on more levels than most Mizzou fans are willing to comprehend honestly.

Toss in stadium teardown and NCAA investigation in year 3 and 4 of his tenure and you can really add up the challenges.

Missouri struggles greatly to stop the run. The only saving grace was Nick Bolton, one of the best run stopping LB in all of football. He has opted out to prepare for the NFL draft.

Anything under 350 yards rushing for Iowa would surprise me.

Mizzou fans have taken on the victim, ho-hum, golly-gee guys it's year one and there's no expectation of winning mentality of their new HC.

Drink has very smartly generated this narrative and used excuses from day one of camp to his last post-game interview about his 'tired' team because it makes it easier to control the narrative in his favor as he moves forward.

Mizzou has a nice enough roster. A top 25 type team. Plenty of weapons to go in and beat a well oiled machine in Iowa.

There were players and recruits leaving Mizzou when Odom got fired. Drinkwitz got the permission to contact top recruits in St. Louis and ESL. When Odom was the HC, he couldn't get into top recruits in St. Louis. All of a suddenly coaches at St. Louis high schools and ESL lifted the restriction to contact their top recruits. How can you explained that? Odom has been part of the problem.
