Do you like SEC games as season opener?

In 2013, Ole Miss opened at Vandy and in 2014, Ark opened at Auburn and Texas A&M went to USCe and made Spurrier look like a fool.
I like it because you know how good the teams are early, but in last year's case, Texas A&M got way too much hype (although it was an impressive win).
The offseason sucks.

Week 2 is fine but I'm not crazy about it week 1.

Nope. I prefer opening with 4 non-con games and then playing the 8 league games.
The only time under Pinkel that we didn't open the season with 4 non-con games was 2012 where we got Georgia and South Carolina weeks 2 and 4. We got banged up early in the season and had our only losing season in the last 10 years. Every other season we've opened with 4 out of conference games and gone on to winning seasons.

I like watching other teams play them but I want a non conference opener for us

No. One or two cupcakes to work out the kinks is better imo

I hated it. Conference games are extremely important and your team really doesn't know if it has any surprise wrinkles that need ironing out that you simply did not know about during Fall camp. Even if you play a big name for the first game and lose, at least it isn't all that important. Ohio State lost to a pretty bad Virginia Tech team early last year and it still turned out just fine for them.

Opening with a conference foe is terrible because it's such an important game. A team could get better throughout the year, but if they lose that first game they're behind the 8 ball conference record wise.

Don't really care for it.
It especially sucked having to play at 2:00 in August in Alabama. Easily the hottest game I've ever been to. Being in the student section from 11:00 till the sun went down was brutal. Took a lot of energy out of the crowd that day. SEC Network needs to move that time slot.

Nope. Week 2 would work, but hate it for first games.

I like it when other teams play them. I prefer my team plays a couple warm up games first.

As long as we play Arkansas it doesn't matter.

I really like the SEC vs acc matchup games to start with. There like bowl games to start off the regular season and it helps teams work harder in the off season to know its going to be tough right out of the gate. I think bama plays better teams to start the season because it sheds light on areas of improvement a lot sooner that they can get fixed before conference play starts. I think it also gives a better game for the fans.

Yep, keep dominating Arkansas with that all time 13-10-1 record. Impressive

Vanda in 2013 as well. Vandy still won 9 games that year I believe.

I actually really like it.
2007 LSU kicked off the season with the Thursday night first Div I game of the year against State...beat the ever living crap out of them...think it was either like 52-0 or 52-7. Knew it was going to be an awesome year!
edit: It was 45-0
