I think Texas was going to make a hard run at Oats this off-season, but I think that’s a no-go with the Beard situation. I think they will likely stick with Terry for a 2-3 year contract now and see what happens.

It was one player allegedly involved and he was kicked off the team right away. It does look like based on the latest information that came out this weekend he may have an excellent defense and not be convicted. We will see on that.

Ridiculous question. We are talking about Alabama and not some “Sisters of the Poor” University. Alabama can match any amount of any threat. And why would he leave even if Kentucky offered? He has no pressure where he is.

Oh yeah I'm sure many programs would jump at the chance, but I also don't see why he would leave.

Can match and are willing to match are two different things. Alabama will never invest as much into their basketball program as the UK's of the world.

I don't think him saying he and his family like it here is BS. But does he like it to the point that he'd leave 3 million a year on the table if Kansas called? I have no doubt we'll be willing to pay him 6 million plus but the bluebloods are paying guys almost 9

I disagree with this statement and I'm sure we'll find out soon. Cal is done at Kentucky.

Alabama will not pay him as much as Saban for sure. But they could easily pay him 5 million to stay.

Why do people think Bama can’t pay?

Even over Houston, knowing that the final four and championship game are in Houston?

Alabama beat Houston on their home court this year.

What program wants him? After the shite that's been thrown at him from other media/journalists/other fans, etc. he's considered coaching poison.
I doubt it, great college basketball coaches have always been scumbags.

Hell we’re already doing that. He currently has a Top-10 salary and that was done before he locked up the SEC and got the #1 overall seed

Well this is certainly false. There were at least three NYT says 4. Both greater than 1.

Yeah well an early regular season game is one thing. Doing it again, in the Final Four, when they know how good we are, is another.

Not saying we can't do it, just saying it'll be a hell of an accomplishment, and much more difficult than any game we've played this year.

I do not know much about his previous coaching experience, but my opinion is that he would stick around as he has the program tracking in the right direction. The only reason I could see him leaving would be: NBA opportunity or some blue blood basketball program calls him like Kansas.

This place is the most schizophrenic forum in the known Universe. If it isn't suffering from mass hysteria and deep-seated self-righteousness about certain coaches it's entertaining visions of glory about hiring said coach for their own program.

Truth be told, BAMA doesn't lose head coaches. Not in our DNA.

I picked Houston in my bracket, and I think they have a good chance but if the dirtbags play to their ability I think they are the best team in the league. Hopefully they have an off day which is definitely possible with the style of game they play. LFG Cougers!!!

Unless a huge name comes calling, I don't see why he'd want to move
