After doing a bit a Googling ... this Jordan/Jerdan or whatever y'all want to call him was 5-13 against Bear Bryant.

Guess that explains why everyone in the country knows who Paul "Bear" Bryant is and why not even the locals can pronounce Ralph's last name.

Ton of respect for Coach Jordan, he was a gentleman's gentleman. Damn good Coach too.

Some message board warrior is making fun of a legitimate war hero, national champion and CFB Hall of Famer. You are an embarrassment to Texas. There is little doubt that your own parents feel a tinge of disappointment every time they think of you.

Hey dumbshit, go look at other coaches record against Bear.

And, this legend coach was named Paul, he wasn’t really a bear. Just don’t want your simpleton dildo licking arse to get confused.

All of that more than likely went over its head.

Just out of curiosity (not that it will matter by season's end) how do you pronounce your current coach's name?

Is it Harsin or Hersin?

Kind of a stretch here isn't it? You do Texas and we will do Auburn.
Aubie is too busy developing rockets, space craft and sending Astronauts to space. Working with NASA and Elon Musk. Developing robotics, cyber and homeland security, biological and biomedical science and Engineering to worry about how different areas of the country pronounce a name. Come visit us, my double wide is AUsome!

For our Texas friend, Jordan was pronounced as Jerdan in the old South. I remember a guy when I was growing up, with that name, he pronounced it Jerdan.

The reason it was pronounced like that, I am not sure. Probably has something to do with English heritage.

The name Shug is uncommon but not unheard of. You do know that is a nickname, Shug Jordan's given name was Ralph.
Coach Shug Jordan was a well respected coach in this league for many years.
