I'm not sure Ohio St or Oregon believe Nico is good enough that he is a for sure starter for either team. Maybe, but both have great QB rooms and Nico is still more potential than results at this point. And if he's not a definite starter you're paying a guy a lot of money to ride the bench and leave again in a year.

Somewhere like UCLA, USC, and Notre Dame make sense. Maybe Colorado

Back to Tennessee is a possibility.

This.

Dude is asking for Heisman contender type money in my opinion, and he's more like a guy you bring into compete with the guy you already have.

Also, it being spring was his leverage with Tennessee however that will likely be a negative to a new suitor.

On Andy Staples and Ari Wassermans pod yesterday, Ari said there is a 0% chance he’s going to Ohio State and he can confirm that.

He used to be the beat writer so he has good sauces. He has no idea why they are even mentioned.

He would be shocked if it’s not somewhere west

Actually, though Imaleaveut hasn’t proven himself to be great, unless I’m mistaken, Ohio State doesn’t have a qb that has started a major college game

Word is he was difficult at TN. Wouldn’t fulfill his NIL requirements by showing up for signings and other requirements.

He is not worth a fourth or maybe half of what Tennessee was paying the whiney baby.

We aren't bringing in a transfer qb unless it's a 4th string deep chart piece. People are just naming off random teams without even bothering to look at rosters.

This entire situation confuses the hell out of me. Like why now? How long has this been their plan? Who would want to sign him after these antics, other than Coach Prime? So many questions.

I think his camp wanted to fleece the Vols. Backfired big time.

I think Nico’s just dumb. Have you heard him in interviews?

Seems like what pisses everyone off about Nico is he’s taking an NFL approach where he thinks he has leverage to demand a new renegotiated deal. It’s an obvious already chaotic NIL world…then this prick comes along and introduces more chaos. I hope he gets a lesser deal than what Tennessee offered him. From what little I’ve seen of him play, he seemed like an average passer and a better runner.

More than half the top tier teams have questions at QB? ND, UGA, Ole Miss, Clemson, Bama, Auburn, Tennessee all have question marks because they all lost their multi year starter. Someone will pay 2 million for Nico.

A bad one.

Someone will pick him up, but it's safe money he'll be making less than if he'd kept his mouth shut and showed up for practice.

He can't play at Auburn, Bama, UGA, or Ole Miss.

Clemson didn't lose their starter.

Supposedly, Notre Dame isn't interested.

That would be a pay cut for him, proving everyone's point that he's dumb for making this demand.

Maybe, but they're already shelling out a ton for Underwood

Isn’t paying Underwood and Nico. They had to give underwood 4.5 a year to get him from LSU.

The plan was to announce this right before the spring game, with the idea being that they would have UT over a barrel and they wouldn't be able to say no.

Did they think the spring game is a real game? Maybe they should have done this before the playoff game instead.
