This is most of my beef with this shite. The NCAA fricked these kids over. How in frick's name are you gonna leave out a single class with this shite, and think shite will be hunky dory. If you included the 2022 class in this? There really shouldn't be any issues. They fricking did this shite on purpose.

The others were forced to go pro assuming they were out of eligibility, came back, never rostered, never played

I know right!. Bediako left with remaining eligibility, played 2 pro seasons, was recruited back to Bama after signing a pro contract, and actually played 5 games. That’s way worse.

My understanding is that during the Bediako situation, the SEC itself had no rule against playing former pros. They had never needed one as they had always piggybacked off the NCAA's rule. That's why Bediako's challenge was made against the NCAA and the SEC was included only as an interested party. So in that case Alabama, although perhaps acting against the SEC's wishes, did not break any actual conference rules. Leading into football season the SEC decided to institute their own rule against playing former pros, which now means that if LSU (or any other school) decides to play such players they will be breaking conference rules. That's the difference.

Fans from Kentucky, Auburn, Florida and others jumped Bama's case about that. Stop clutching your pearls.
Secondly, once the case died, Bama left it alone. They didnt thumb their nose up at the commisioner or tell any jokes about the matter. If LSU would have left it alone after the school presidents voted to uphold Sankey's rule then LSU would have been okay.
But just like Al Davis said, Kiffin is a con man. What he says he will do is different than what he was doing.
Lastly, regardless of whatever dumb advantage you think LSU will have with Dxavion Harris, 99% of America wants pros out of college. Stop being an a-hole
