I hope Gus has a ton of success there. I agree he is a solid coach.

Honestly, if he had been able to recruit competitive lines, he would still be at AU. Hopefully it is a good fit for all parties involved.

I may be too much of an optimist, but I really hope that Harsin is a success and that Malzahn has a great run at UCF.

UCF got an upgrade.

But I can understand why UT didn't make the same hire. It would be flat out admitting what kind of program they are. This way, we can all just know it while they pretend they are getting an up and coming big name.

Right now, Malzahn could take UCF and beat either one of these teams next year.
Aren't you one of the Rantards who claimed AU really lost to Arky and Ole Miss in 2020?

And we actually DID lose to the worst team Will Muschamp ever coached (which is really saying something).

And it wasn't because any of those teams were more talented than AU.

Are you mad because your last Tennessee beat Alabama shirt is old enough to be in highschool now?

Tennessee is the better job in every measurable category. Facilites, Fan base, history, Conference, Notoriety, Flagship University in the state, ability to recruit, etc. but they are in the absolute fricking gutter right now and I wouldn't touch that job with a 10 ft. pole. The new AD they hired likely ends up being the best hire the University has made in years, but he's going to need a long leash to clean that trash can up.

My sister-in-law told me that Scott Bakula went to Kirkwood HS. Her father and Scott's father are lawyers.

Harsin had to hire coaches that were mostly cast off from other teams.
