Did the Titians really draft a Tulane RB over A&M's Devon Achane?

Is Achane injured or something?

I don’t get how he slid so far. For my money he might have been the best (non qb) skill player in cfb this past season.

Spears has the ability to run through tackles that Achane lacks, giving him three down potential.

I'm excited about having that kid on the Dolphins. Defenses have to single up somebody and there is speed all over the field. If we can keep Tua healthy, this offense could be deadly.

They needed a WR way more than Levis or a RB. Not my team though, don't mind seeing them average under 20 a game.

It’s the same management that traded up to draft Levis. You expect something smart from them? Tulane RB has no ACL either.

Spears will never be an every down back in the league.

Tulane’s RB can play tbh. Achane must’ve had issues in the physical evaluation

Pretty sure it's this guy.

He's had enough guys declare early who slid back either out of the first two days or out of the draft completely that it's become a pattern under him.

Achane is likely a situational back on a traditional NFL offense.

I think he can be an every down back on the right team. One with a creative offense that can consistently create space for him to work. Miami is a great fit for him in that regard.

His size got him knocked. Statistically, RB’s under 190 lbs don’t really succeed in the NFL. Granted, Achane does track every spring so he naturally slims down. I bet he plays around 195ish.

Here is an interesting statistical breakdown article on how RB’s size plays into NFL success.

Does Size Really Matter for NFL RBs?

Because he's not an every down back. He's a straight-line, runner, that doesn't have the size to back up that kinda running style in the NFL.

He'll probably end up on KOR and or PR teams and would make a nice weapon there. Back up RB at best but undoubtedly an interesting pick.
