You know, the SEC had to win those games right? Most often with a complete arse whippin....
AU was probably the 3rd best team in the SEC when FSU beat them. OSU beat a decent Bama in a down SEC year. That doesn't erase a decade of SEC dominance.

I think we've been watching it disappear for years, but teams that do it well will continue to be successful, as we're seeing with LSU this year. The odd thing with Arkansas is that I don't think Bert's done a good job of implementing smash mouth football here and that has more to do with our struggles then any talent gap. For example, whenever we'd start dominating another team by running the ball, we usually start throwing it on every down for no good reason. I think that was mostly Chaney, but Enos seems to have his own problems that I haven't figured out, yet.

Why do aggies always have to pretend to be experts on shite they don't know anything about?

No, it's not dead
LSU's qb can only average 1/2 of a TD per game and they are still squeaking out victories by running the ball and playing decent defense
Don't need a QB to beat A&M... Again.
And our D is on track to beat last year's stats, you know the one that was #1 in the SEC.

Ohhhh, you mean like....Oklahoma in '04 ?
Ohio State in '08? Notre Dame in '12?
Jesus Christ you are so psychotically delusional...
Yeah that's right - all the SEC NCG appearances were "gifted", not one was earned......

Not just SEC football but football has been dead for a few years now. It's no longer a physical, best man win game but is now akin to basketball when long, lean fastest guy wins. It's like watching intramural football and it has given teams like Northwestern, Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech an opportunity to win that they ever had before.
What people overlook is defense. Forever we were taught never let the WR get behind you, never turn your back on the ball, play the ball not the man, etc. Anybody remember the old pass, ball, bingo drills we used to do? For you younguns when the QB dropped back everyone yelled pass, when the ball had been thrown everyone yelled ball which meant turn around and look for it and bingo let everyone know you had picked it off. I watch every defense now and I see a CB who WAITS for the WR to get even with him and then tries to run him down from behind, WTF?? THis back shoulder fade thing would never have happened 30 years ago because we used to play the ball and the DB would have seen it and broke on it for a pick 6. Now, because defensive fundamentals are so poor its almost a completion or at least a PI because the DB never turns around and just flails his arms like a maniac hoping against hope he slaps it away. Good DB's used to have 9 -10 picks a season, now an All-American has 3. If I'm an o coordinator today I throw the fade in some form 25 times a game because DB's are not taught to look for the ball anymore but to read the receivers eyes, watch for his hands to go up, see if he sticks his tounge out or some other bullshite instead of playing the ball.
Reminds of a great quote from all the right moves
"If you had played the ball instead of the man they wouldn't have been down there in the first place"

I just wanted to add the Spurrier picture from 1990, so Aggies would have a clue what we were talking about.

Florida, LSU, and Mizzou are the only teams that play defense anymore.
A&M is TBD.

When Gus entered the league in 2013, Saban knew things would have to change. These new offenses show that you can score on Bama... Bama is now trying to outscore folks. Bama is 2-4...
2013:
TAMU 42 (Bama 49)
Auburn 34 (Bama 28)
Oklahoma 45 (Bama 31)
2014
Auburn 44 (Bama 55)
OSU -42 (Bama 35)
2015
Ole Miss 43 (Bama 37)
