Probably the worst part of the 4 year period, but better than the 0-4s on the 2000s

So you would have an issue with the lack of a NC considering that talent on the roster ? I do not like to call bullshite, but bull shite. We heard bitching for most when there was a two year drought, imagine a 4 year drought.

An issue? Like, would I have wanted to win one? Yes. Would I consider the period a failure? No, because I'm not a crazy person.

Sorry if that upsets you. I lived 20 years of probation and coaches being fired. "Only" winning 2 SEC Titles in a 4 year stretch ain't gonna get my panties in a wad. I don't care how many 5-stars are on the roster.

Come on, you are not fooling anyone. You might not say it in public, but you would be second guessing Saban if he didn't produce at least one in that 4 year period. UGA are bitching about Kirby, and his resume is a shadow of Sabans. Auburn Fans bitch about lost opportunities as the season develops, but Bama fans would be bitching about lost talent. I think you agree deep down, but keep it down home cuz.

Oh, alright. I didn't fit into your narrative so you just told me that "you really know" that I do fit your narrative.

Deep down you really hate Auburn and love Alabama. I think you agree. You aren't fooling anyone.

Honest question (not trolling). If Saban retires next year after winning a NC. What would be the attitude toward the new coach if he had this 4 year record:

- 52-5 Overall (29-3 SEC)
- 2 SEC Titles
- 0 National Title
- 2 National Runners Up
- 4 Top 10 finishes
-2 loses to AU

why don't you give more ammunition to LSU so they can rip our program and coach some more, because I think they are running out of ideas

I'd be ecstatic. I've said multiple times if our replacement has a first 7 years (2005-2012) that Les Miles had I'd be happy.

If Sabans replacement wins SEC titles and stays in the national championship race yearly that would be awesome. Honestly I don't expect whoever it is to do that.

I lived in Alabama during the end of the Bryant era and I saw how fans felt and behaved about his record at the end. This was after back to back NC in 78 and 79. Fans haven't changed that much and in fact are more spoiled now.

I don't pretend to be the norm. I know that most will be pissed the first time we go 9-3 and act nuts.

More reason that I don't take periods like we're having right now for granted at all.

That is why I think Bryant Legacy is better than Sabans. I think under the old Bowl System, Saban would have three total NCs and they would all be at Bama.

Everything after 2009 has been gravy for me.

Hell, before Saban I was mostly happy with Shula for the simple fact he wasn't embarrassing off the field.

I think people forget just how rough those years were.

No one's ever really won with QBs like Tua. (Yes he won one in mop up duty only because Bowl Cut never made plans for him).

But, I don't who you mean as number two? Jalen? I think failing with him was par for the course. You simply have to have a good pro-style QB to win a NC along with a great defense.

A below average game manager type QB can win but you have to almost have a GOAT defense to do it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around.

Interesting that people cherry pick the 2019 CFP title game and add it to this season as if that team hadn’t gone 14-0 to that point.

I didn’t cherry pick it. I just stated an easily observable fact- the last three times Alabama played a quality team that was on roughly the same level, they got smoked. That’s not some one game anomaly, that’s a trend . I understand the trend upsets you, but it’s still a trend.

What Saban has done is only downgraded by those who are a victim of it.

Like the dude or not,he is one of the last old school coaches we have left and when he’s gone we’ll be another step closer to candy arse football.

I don’t like being beat by him,but I respect his style of demanding respect from his players.

He gives out no juice boxes.
