Did CBS not choose the UGA/Ole Miss game because there is a limit...

to how many times you can be on there in a season?

That would make six times since they had to choose the UT game because of that shitty slate of games.

Seems weird that they let ESPN have a top ten matchup.

The rule has always been based on what has been reported in local LSU media Five times with CBS.

It's not weird and it's been explained a million times. Yes there is a limit and after missouri they could show us one more time. If they picked this weekend they'd be forced to show missouri/florida next weekend. They wisely decided that it makes far more logical sense to show a really good matchup this weekend and a really good/great matchup next weekend, opposed to a great one this wekeend and warmed doodoo next weekend. There's nothing more to it than that .

This has happened with CBS and Alabama a few times. It’s the curse of being good.

I prefer that 7 PM slot, so thank goodness for the rule. Sanford was a little bit low energy on Saturday. Need a night game.

I’m devastated I won’t get to listen to Gary Danielson. Though with Alabama not in the game I’m not sure what his demeanor is

Most notably I recall CBS having to air the Egg Bowl instead of the Iron Bowl in 2014 because they had reached the limit on Bama.

I'm glad CBS is carrying it. Now I don't have to listen to Gary Danielson slobbering all over Georgia.

context clues, um, should tell you he meant "isn't" carrying it. The next sentence was a pretty big tell.

Lack of text books is apparent as well.

So the 6 day option they took last week was to really see if they were going to show LSU v Florida or Mizzou vs. Tenn.

I am sure ESPN is loving it.

Ole Gary will find a way to talk about Alabama and Saban ad nauseam even though they are not being broadcast. It has never slowed him down before.

CBS execs are going to milk the SEC cow as long as they can.

I'm thinking that they are regretting signing on long term with the B1G, but they had little choice since ESPN over-paid for the SEC.

Now CBS is trying to push and hype their two new flagship programs. Ohio State looked like crap against Rutgers and the Micheatin' scandal probably has the CBS execs sucking their thumbs under their desks.

It is weird if there is not a limit. That's what I found out here. Thank you.

Amen...far better to play Ole Miss in Athens at 7 than Tennessee in Knoxville at 7. Its liable to be about 30 below and about a foot and half of snow on the that far north at 3...it could be deadly weather by 7 that close to the artic circle
