Kentucky really isn't all that "one-and-done" heavy this year, though. Monk and Fox are both probably Top 10, but neither is a can't-miss star. Bam will probably go in the lotto because of potential. Everyone else should stick around.

Lost to a Top 10 experienced team in December. Enjoy I guess.

All trolling aside, that was a hell of a game.

not the best scheduling when you have your first true road game against your top rival

#13 Michigan State on the road - still getting votes in polls
vs Arizona State - f*ck Bobby Hurley
vs #2 UCLA
vs Valparaiso - getting votes in the polls
#7 UNC on the road - making Roy cry
#10 Louisville on the road
vs #3 Kansas

Aside from losing to UCLA @ College Station, and losing to 2 other PAC teams, who exactly has TAMU played?

I disagree. These games are just learning experiences for teams like Kentucky. Unlike most teams that need wins to help their status come tourney time, the blue bloods don't worry about that. I suspect Coach Cal likes to see his freshmen thrown into the fire early in the season to get them battle trained.

lo almost lost the game at the end by not running the clock. They left 20+ seconds on the clock by coming down and shooting the ball their last two possessions.

It was a great game to watch.

Kentucky just seems streaky. Still a very solid club they have, but Louisville is really good IMO.

And were very clearly not as good as Louisville, game really shouldn't have been that close.

I felt Louisville played about as well as they can and if Monk plays at the level he should Kentucky would have won. I would expect Kentucky to go 15-3 or better in the SEC.

The ten missed free throws, along with a really bad night from outside, probably played a part. The Wildcats will be running like a well oiled machine come tourney time, unlike my own team.

UK has a brutal OOC schedule because the youngest players have to grow up very quickly in this OAD era. They all have great talent and they have to learn early on that they have to play as a team if they expect to win. I think they learned more from the UCLA and Louisville losses than they did from beating UNC and Michigan State.

UCLA showed them that there is a faster team out there and Louisville's great defense shut down the Cats' blazing speed for the first time. I'm really glad Pitino decided not to run with the Cats. They needed to see some stellar defense.

you've lost twice now when playing a team with talent that is only one level below what UK has, instead of 2 and 3 levels below UK, which makes up 90% of NCAA teams...UK barely won another game by the skin of their teeth against another talented team...there is no SEC team that is only one level below UK talent wise, but they will lose four times anyway. ~Calipari is Miles with a roundball~

Yes, because UNC is several levels below UK in talent.

The sky is falling bullshite by the Rantards here over two losses to Top 10 teams before conference play even starts is hilarious.
