Not really I thought he would make it to six wins in 2010 and 2011 then maybe try to make some noise in 2012. I never thought it would be like this.

I thought he was a good hire to get us stable but we didn't need to keep him too long. We've kept him too long.

Nutt is exactly the same coach he was at Arkansas. The difference is that he has no home grown talent in Mississippi, like McFadden, Hillis, and Jones like he did at Arkansas. Those three and many more would have played for the Hogs even if Ronald McDonald was coaching.

And don't bring up Felix Jones either about Nutt signing him. Nutt told Bobby Allen to quit wasting his time with Felix, because Nutt didn't think the Hogs would land him and Nutt hates to be told no, but Allen insisted that he be allowed to continue to recruit Felix. The rest is history.

I’ve stated this many times before but I’ll state it again because it’s worth repeating. Any success Arkansas had under Nutt was in spite of him and not because of him. I think some of you Rebs are finally getting it through you head that I was spot on with that comment.

There are very few Ole Miss fans who thought that Nutt was a long term answer for our long SEC drought. So this whole "we didn't listen" shite is getting played out.

At first - For Ole Miss? Good. For Nutt? Not at all.
Now - bad for both.

Nutt doesn't seem to care anymore. He always plays LSU close though. I'm thinking this year will be a tad different.

BULL shite. All we heard from Rebel Fans when Nutt had his little run with O's recruits was, were back, SEC Championship, National Championship talk, just wait until Nutt gets his players in place, if he can take Arkansas to the SEC game twice just think how well he will do at Ole Miss who has a much better recruiting base, and on and on and on and on………..

I don’t blame you for being pissed because I’d be pissed too if I was sold a sack of Nutt shite but we damn sure told you EXACTLY what would happen when Nutt had time to get “his players” in place.

From whom exactly? There's not that many of us on here and I would say 95% of our fans on this site(I'm looking at you Rebman601) didn't think any of the things in this self-fellating post. If your ego needs people to keep telling you that you are right then here it is again: Arkansas fans were right.

At least on this board, and in general, most admonished Arkansas for running him off. They then further taunted the Arkansas fans when Nutt beat Arkansas each of his first two years at Ole Miss.

At the time there was major negativity surrounding Bobby Petrino due to the way the Falcons thing was handled. Most allowed that to cloud any objective football judgment.

Not saying Petrino is this great (or bad) guy, just saying that objectively, it was predictable that long term Arkansas under Petrino would be better off than Ole Miss under Nutt. Petrino's list of career accomplishments is very impressive. But most fans- at the affected schools or otherwise- weren't very objective about it.

Arkansas fans did warn Ole Miss fans about what they predicted would happen with Nutt. Ole Miss was very cocky his first two seasons there.

Nutt has just been lucky by living a charmed life.

It's his 14th year as a head coach in the SEC and he's never won a conference championship. I can't recall any other coach who's been able to stay around that long without winning anything. All the others have been kicked to the curb long, long before that.

He's a lucky guy.

Bull shite is right! The consensus opinion on LOL Miss message boards and to fans I spoke to in person was that Nutt was mistreated at Arkansas and that we had ran off a good football coach. They were convinced that he was the victim of a lynch mob of public opinion based solely on his handling of Mitch Mustain and Gus Malzahn.

They showed their ignorance by overlooking the long standing reasons we wanted his arse out. Like Hootie's average SEC record, inconsistent game performance, failure to actually develop talent in players over 4 years, and the clusterfrick of his offense.

They were convinced they had really found themselves a ball coach as a result of our irrationality. I remember their "Houston Nutt, Houston Nutt" chant at the end of the first game in Fayetteville. They were too short sighted to see the train wreck their program is now. Hotty Toddy!

Most of the Sabanistas on the Tiger Rant thought highly of Nutt.

It just goes to show that people are fricking stupid.
