So we are firing a minority employee who supposedly was part of a systemic cheating protocol coordinated by the entire football department? And he's not going to blow the whistle on us for or go to Outside the Lines to expose the rampant cheating at Alabama.
If what you guys are suggesting is true and we fired Bo to cover up our cheating he could sue UA for eleventy billion dollars.
Gosh I hope we know what we're doing???

How did they (Alabama) know he was being dishonest if they had no record or knowledge of where he was or what he was doing?

I would think a coach making as much as he is could swing a couple plane tickets and meals without needing to get reimbursed for it.

Why did I hear this in my head as you saying it just like Happy Gilmore said "You eat pieces of shite for breakfast?".

To be honest I really don't understand it. If Tunsil just pays back the loan shouldn't that resolve the issue?
Do really think that the money in the text message was an isolated situation and he didn't receive money on multiple occasions?

Um, because the NCAA contacted Alabama compliance. Likely after someone recruiting said players turned Davis in. He had an opportunity to come clean. Likely with little recourse, other than banning him from recruiting visits for a period of time. But he lied. That will get you fired quick. And is one of the worst things you can do in an NCAA inquiry.

If any coach is taking recruiting visits without anyone in the coaching staff knowing...... That's a bad deal. Mark richt type loss of control

He could be on the road evaluating and talking to head coaches and then just took it to far as far as contact with the recruits. Nobody said that Saban didn't know he was out working.

You do realize coaches are on the road during these dead periods to do background work on prospects...right? Taking it a step further is what cost Davis a job.

the most probable sequence of events is
another coach/school learns Davis is breaking rules
another coach/school notifies the NCAA
NCAA calls Bama
Bama asks Davis what happened
Davis lies
Davis fired

Who takes a plane from Alabama to Mississippi?

No, I don't. I don't think Clinton-Dix receiving money from a coach was a one time thing either.

This is one of those cases where the NCAA should act like prosecutors and off the underboss a deal to flip on Don Saban.

Saban really is the last Don. Or perhaps hes the first.
I for one think we should all welcome our new crimson Overlord

I guess he could; if he never wanted to coach again.
