“Paul Finebaum is a caricature of a caricature of Paul Finebaum,”Howard told Michigan alum Rich Eisen. “That’s what he is right now. You can’t take anything he says seriously. You just can’t. It’s like they march him out there, they pull the string in his back, and he just starts spewing negative things about Michigan.

I don't care for Paul Finebaum. He always picks against Mizzou. It doesn't matter how well Mizzou is playing, or who they are playing, he will pick against them.

I know Paul personally - he knows exactly what he’s doing - away from sports he is one of the nicest most thoughtful guy I know. He plays a character

Wtf does Desmond want PF to do? Michigan's coach has been suspended twice this year. Does he think if this happened to an SEC coach that Finebaum would just give him a pass & say everything is going great?
Admittedly, Paul doesn't like Harbaugh, but neither does Harbaugh's fellow coaches either. They're the ones trying to get him run out of town.

At least Paul has a talent. Desmond merely fits a profile. Desmond is one of the least thoughtful or knowledgeable talking heads in football.

I knew a man who did a similar show on radio in Atlanta for years (not sports related) and he was the same way...you'd never know he was the same person away from the show...it was all a character. That guy had a cast of characters like Finebaum has...very similar except for the sports angle. I enjoy Finebaum but I realize he is, like all sports commentators, doing a bit...it ain't remotely real.
