Cam was better overall. Watson had the best single game of either college wise.
Cam's accuracy has really picked up in the NFL. It may not reflect in the stat line, but he's throwing balls in small windows and hitting them.

They're both good. Watson is a better passer though. To this day, Cam has a problem with sailing throws. Watson drops it into the bread basket with ease
Don't you wish Watson hadn't sailed that one throw on Monday night. If Bama doesn't get those 7 pts on that TO Clemson wins by 2.

Cam is better and it's not even close. Go watch that run he had in the LSU game where he dragged Patrick Peterson into the endzone. Thats SEC legend on SEC legend right there. Watson doesn't even belong in the same breath yet.

Better comparison would be Watson vs Nick Marshall. Very similar.
Watson didn't look all that accurate in the championship game to me. Yes, he made some nice passes here and there, but many were off target.
Marshall may be a better runner too.

I agree with this...NM was a better runner but DW is slippery enough and a better passer. Comparing DW to Cam is silly.

I'd say Watson vs Brad Smith from Missouri is who I find Watson similar to.

That's just foolish. Is he Cam Newton? No, but they aren't the same kind of player.

Both are/were incredible in college!!

Now it's just getting ridiculous. Watson is light years better than Nick Marshall.

Watson will be better long term, IMO. Has higher upside.
But no, he's not better than college Cam...as much as I hate to say it.

Downvote must have came from a Clemson fan. Everything I stated was true.

Watson hands down. Cam in the pros, but Watson was 10 times more accurate, and faster. Cam couldn't be stopped for 4-5 yards.

No doubt. MUCH higher upside than the best player in the NFL. Fo sho!

So he wasn't accurate or a better player after the 2010 Iron Bowl? I'm confused here.

Meh, ignore the visor. Dude can't tell the difference between his arse and a hole in the ground.

Yeah, he's probably trolling, I mean we're talking about a QB who lead one the greatest comebacks in SEC history in Tuscaloosa vs a QB who almost maybe could've beat Bama?

In fairness to Watson, Cam's team actually covered the opposing team's tight end.

Agree, I dont want to take anything from Watson, he was incredible in that game.

And in fairness to Cam, Watson's team was a helluva lot more well rounded than Cam's. I'm not going to say Cam carried the team by himself, but he was pretty close.
Clemson had a good defense and offense. Great cornerback and awesome DL.
