Henry is a beast, but man they road him hard down the stretch last year.
He's been ridden hard since high school. The man's a bruiser who only gets stronger the more carries you give him. Eventually he will decline but this is Henry's running style. Always has been.

It took Nick Saban 2 seasons to figure out that Henry is better in the 4th quarter the MORE touches you give him early in the game. It then took the Titans that same amount of time to figure out how to use him. He simply does not tire.
Look at the 2015 Iron Bowl: 46 carries for 271 yards. That was a game where we couldn't seem to get any offensive firepower going so we basically handed the game over to Henry and told him to move the pile and kill clock. And he did it marvelously.

Henry's childhood home
Looks like an entirely different neighborhood than in the picture. Who knew situations could change over 2 decades

I wonder if these new contracts that are being signed lately have stipulations in them for the upcoming season or seasons that there could be no play due to the virus.
I have not kept up with the contracts but I noticed other big ones being signed. Can teams pay them with no play?
Congrats to him. He has come a long way

I believe that was his Grandmother's home. He also lived with with several aunts (he had 12 aunts) and then, as a sophomore at Yulee High School, he moved in with his former middle school coach, J.T. Medley.
His middle school coach is the one that helped him buy the used Dodge Charger, and helped with camps and such.
Story of Derrick Henry's growing up years and his Charger.

Congrats and good for him. He's been a good RB and seems like a nice guy. He's worth the money.

good for him, will never hate a player for getting as much as he can and I dont think a 4 year contract is too bad, but I never understand why teams pay so much for a RB as they dont last too long.

I would be very weary of giving a big contract to a RB coming off a 400 carry season.
I would be equally wary of hot takes from posters who can't spell worth a shite

I’m not sure you would give any rb that kind of money.
Except Henry.

Henry had 449 touches last year. That is lot of punishment.
