Honestly I feel like he can work his way into the 1st with a good combine.
Maybe he runs a 4.3?
(Key work Can, right now i say he’s a 2-3)

Hayden Hurst was a first round pick.

And this WR draft is not particularly strong

Agree. He signed a contract to play at the university in exchange for a free education.

The school and fans demand bowl wins. If he refuses to contribute he violates his commitment imo and should have his scholarship pulled and any degree he may have earned revoked.

LOL. The school doesn't care about him, and fans like you don't care about him either. Why should he care one bit what you want or 'demand'?

Of course he should sit out. Everyone who won't increase their draft stock or at a high risk of injury should sit out.

The same people criticizing him for sitting out would criticize him for playing in a meaningless bowl game if he got a career ending injury

Deebo don’t care. He about to get paid. I don’t blame him one bit.

Tell me more about Fromm's sophomore slump. You, personally, double downed on it.

Yep, I was wrong about that. He's probably saving it for his junior year.

You salty tonight eh .... because of the Fields transfer? I called that one too. Where's the credit?

The complaint here is a 1st round talent is leaving early to protect his draft stock.

I'm not even really arguing about Deebo skipping the bowl game. My comment was really in reference to this bullsh*t about people wanting to turn college football into the NFL, and this pathetic "woe is the college athlete" BS that people on TV argue. Universities and the NCAA are not for profit. The money they generate goes back into the schools to support the very players and programs that generate the money. The NCAA and the universities should not be involved in paying players. Most athletic programs are operating at a loss as it is. Don't even get me started on the Title 9 issues. Everyone talks about the positives of paying players and removing restrictions but none of these people are even adept enough to see the potentially massive pitfalls.

Deebo earned the right to go now. His family needs the money badly and he's dealt with injuries his entire career.

So will he get paid from an NFL team sooner by quitting on his teammates and coaches?

Of course you have this take. You are perpetually looking for a way to proclaim victim status.

Lame as frick take. He’s about to make millions and is supposed to jeopardize that for an exhibition game. Eat shite with that nonsense.
Then why didn't he sit out the season? When you start something you finish it.

We had our best OL break his leg against Akron, he was projected for the draft. I’m not surprised Deebo is not playing

There’s a glaring difference between regular season games and the Belk bowl

While I hate the trend, I don't disagree with it. Everyone here would do the same exact thing as Deebo. If you wouldn't, then you are fricking stupid. There's no point in playing in a useless bowl game and risk injuries with the potential of making millions in a few months.

If he ended up getting injured in the bowl game then everyone would say that he should've sat out.

No but he might actually get paid for a change since he's lessening his chances of being injured between now and then.

Also heard Marcus Lattimore strongly encouraged him to go ahead and go.

Ever heard about a Paratroopers' Last Option?

When we're finally getting out, ETSing, retiring, whatever, you're given a last option and it's the only time in your career you are given this option.

When you are manifested for your last jump you have the option to give the jump to a buddy .... or make it yourself. You know why?

Because after years, and sometimes 100s of jumps in all sorts of shitty weather and pitchblack dark loaded down with a ruck under your nuts and a weapon in your armpit ... sometimes that last jump is the jinx. I've seen it happen to a couple of guys including one I jumped with in 82 in the Mohave who was killed, who was going to meet his newborn son right after the jump. Named Robert Breitmeyer. Google him. I was his jumpmaster, wasn't his fault. Wind kicked up, Operation Gallant Eagle. We had seven die that day but his was particularly bad. Jump went well, PLF was rough on all of us because these Chinook winds kicked up on us after we had already exited the planes.

Bob was killed by drag. He hit a tank on the ground, shatter his pelvis, shattered both shoulder and his clavicle. He couldn't stand up to get out of his chute and that was before we had capewell systems ... so his chute drug him about ten klicks across that hard desert floor at 40 knots for six hours ... we didn't find him until sunrise, what was left of him still being drug over cactuses and rocks ... his last jump.

So you get the option, you've earned it. Most of us jumped anyway but some of the guys just had bad feelings about it and gave their spot in the chalk away.

These senior college guys should be afforded the same respect and opportunity imho.

Some of these pussy fricks around need to quit busting balls. They've got no idea how you go for years overcoming the injuries and violence of certain jobs ... and then one day you just know you're about to push your luck too far and you step back and regroup and live to play another day whatever it is in life.

You don't frick with fate and you don't test the gods ... they test you.

But some will never understand that.

Deebo earned the right to go and regroup.
