Utah State the other day had like 4 coaches remaining with the team for their bowl game after they all got hired on with Matt Wells at Texas Tech

But yeah let’s continue to shite on players who don’t make any money for sitting out meaningless bowl games before they receive life-changing money

How long before this starts extending into the season. It’s not like SC played any meaningful games after October of this year. Why’d he play vs Clemson?

Georgia played in the belk bowl in 2015 and nobody sat out. Multiple nflers on that team. Including the starting center of the Pats.

Probably will see it IMO.
Especially if a guy like Bosa’s draft stock doesn’t fall.

That said Clemson is a rivalry game. Everyone gets up for that shite

Eh, that was 2015.
Same could be said for our team in 2014 when we went 7-6.
This players sitting out thing didn’t really start till last year.
And it’s only going to grow.

Seriously so far how many draft stocks have been hurt because of it?

it's just stupid as frick
unless you are a lock to be a top 5 pick and you can't play your way higher then you shouldn't skip
dude could ball the frick out and potentially play into a higher pick and make real money, especially seeing as how there aren't really any stud wr's this draft

You want to know what will be the death of college football? When the people who want to turn it into the NFL finally succeed. Then you will see the death of college football. That is unless CTE kills it first.

I'm tired of all the whining about the poor college athletes. They get free education, free housing(usually at the best housing on campus), three square meals a day of the best food on campus, free medical care, tutors whenever they need them, and they're treated like royalty. Hell, they even get a stipend now don't they?

You want to pay college athletes a salary, fine, then they get no scholarship. The IRS will also want their taxes, and they have to pay for the schooling out of their own money. Give them that scenario and ask them which one they would rather have.

I've got no problem with players being able to earn whatever money on their own. However, the NCAA and it's member institutions should not be writing the check. Hell, they already are in a way.

See that’s the issue. The NCAA preventing them from earning on their own.

I kinda think the same thing. If you know you are going in the top 5-10 picks, sit out if it's a meaningless game

But keep playing if you're not. Help your stock

You can break your ankle walking out the front door. Even pro day or the combine, you can get hurt there. If you've played all season long, what's the point in sitting out this one?

Change the rule. I don't have a problem with that. However, this BS about schools and the NCAA paying them is silly. It's just ridiculous how so many talk about how these athletes are treated so poorly. Far from it.

That’s not really how it works. The complaint here is a 1st round talent is leaving early to protect his draft stock. The death of CFB is the slippery slope of 1st rounder to 2nd etc. Paying players then arguing that they owe taxes just means universities will pay them more. The demand for star athletes is way higher than the supply and the insane increase in money in college and professional athletics means the athletes hold all the cards. Even the NFL owner group’s power grip is slowly loosening and they are a million times more organized than the NCAA.

This is a supply and demand issue, not a fair and unfair issue. He’s flat wrong.

College football will be just as exciting to the true fans when it's all kids that actually are student athletes and qualified academically in line with the other students. I hope the NFL starts drafting straight out of high school like MLB.

Wrong.

1- Deebo isnt first round stock.

2- leaving early means skipping additional seasons of eligibility. Leaving before the bowl game is quitting before the season is over.
