It can be, but it has certainly lived up to that hype in the past. I like the LSU stadium and campus the best because it really reminds me of The Swamp, for multiple reasons.

I don't think many venues are as hostile as they once were. With lowering attendance nation-wide and people chooisng to watch games on TV rather than in person, it is what it is. But for big games, it's still a among the best places to watch a college football game.
