People forget how good he was. And there's no doubt no one got more out of his physical ability than Danny.

Most accurate passer I have seen in the SEC. He had a touch like no other

A lot of people don't realize how many of those came out of Louisiana....I didn't realize all of those did. (Kordell Stewart, for one) Nice list and all good QBs.

The fortunes of LSU may have been different had they been able to able to snag a few of those guys.

If you ask Bammers, they'll tell you that none were better than Gino Toretta.

I still remember how hyped I was as a kid when the Saints drafted him.

Danny used to throw a deep fade to Anthony and Hilliard - not an easy throw. And they made it look so easy.

Some Gator fan ought to compile a summary of those. FTR, I don't ever recall another SEC QB making that throw better.

He had a slightly unorthodox delivery, almost like he was pushing the ball some but it worked.

Regarding the Spurrier relationship, he made one of my all time favorite quotes: I'd rather play for a coach who demands excellence than one who tolerates mediocrity.

I say it is a tossup between Weurffel, Tebow, Leak, Ball Coach, and Cam!!!

( frick all of you bastards. Kyler sucked against SEC defenses, and you fricking know it).

Wuerffel was a great QB, but I would say he's second behind Tebow at Florida.

Weurffel definitely earns the "and an even better man" remark. He does good works all over the south.

Florida has had some great ones with Weurffel, Tebow, and Cam Newton.

Greatest passing QB I've ever seen in CFB.

Cannot disagree...plus he's a class act

Probably not. He is the most decorated SEC QB in terms of hardware though.
