I still have nightmares of what he did to LSU in the 90s. As much as I hated Florida at that time I couldn’t help but to like Danny.

Guess you've totally blacked out Cam Newton, huh?

I have never heard or read a UGA fan claim that Zeier was even the best QB at UGA. Did you just pull this out of thin air?

LSU only played against Cam one year and it was a close game. Danny dropped 58 in 93, 48 in 94, and 56 in 96.

Weurffel went to my HS. He and Glen Coffee.

We don’t have too much more to ring the bell on other than those two studs.

I’d love to know who you people who downvoted Mariota would pick. I get it, he wasn’t in the SEC. That doesn’t matter. The prompt was best college QB. It’s not just me who says it. He is #1 on multiple lists and I think he was the best.

Surprised the Cam crowd hasn’t made their way in here yet.

Meh, Cam was the greatest I've ever seen, while his defense doesn't get a whole lot of credit, the guy was completely unstoppable.

Just think, he made Gene Chizik a national championship coach. And undefeated to boot.

Completely unstoppable is pushing it I think. We had a one season sample size and he was operating out of an unfamiliar offense to the rest of the SEC at the time.

I don’t hate it. Spurrier and Danny were a hell of a pair. I’m not sure any other coach could have gotten as much out of him.

We've had some good ones, though.

Fran Tarkenton
Matt Stafford
David Greene
Aaron Murray
Jake fromm

Even though he never really won any big games, I would take Aaron Murray over David Greene.
