That literally has never been a requirement for the Heisman.

You are stating for the record that a Heisman winner doesn't have to be on an even halfway good team and doesn't have to have anything to do with helping his team win games?

Can you expound on that a bit so we can all learn from you?

What did Johnny Football lead his team to? Did 3 loss Florida win the SEC the year Tebow won it? What did Lamar Jackson win?

Manziel had over 5k total yards and beat a National championship Bama team. He was also a Sophomore. Same for Tebow. He had 55 TDs as a sophomore.
Lamar, also a Sophmore, had over 5k total yards and 52 total TDs.

Jayden would need 762 yards per game the last two games and 8 TDs next week and 9 TDs the following week to have a shot at these numbers. Lol

Tebow had 55 his Heisman season.

These include UF's bowl game. Assume so do the others.

Jayden could easily add 15 more TDs to his current total.

Well, Johnny Football's road to the Heisman was a little different. I mean, he and he alone beat Alabama.

Beating Alabama is enough to win a Heisman for anyone but, he did it with quite a bit of flair and style.

You are correct. For some reason ESPN had the Florida game on his game logs but didn’t add it to his totals.
Regardless he’s unlikely to score enough TDs in the final 2 games to make it matter. Especially since no one will be paying attention to those games.

Also, every Heisman winner has had their “Heisman Moment,” in a big win. What is Jayden’s Heisman Moment?

What you should be saying then, is that LSU's defense has cost Daniels a Heisman.
then the heisman definition needs to be changed to the best player on the best team not the best player.

He had 51 before the Bowl Game. Jayden wont sniff 50 TDs in the regular season.
He’s not winning the Heisman. He has no meaningful wins. He’s not a statistical anomaly and he’s a senior. Seniors always have to over preform to win, for some weird reason.

I would say tonight, but Florida's defense looked as bad as LSU's

I don't think he will win... but I do think he deserves an invite. Dude's having a phenomenal season. 4,000+ yards, 38 TD's, 72% completion

I think your assessment is wrong.

I think he will be helped by the fact that West Coast voters will split their votes between Nix, Pennix and Williams. If just one of those guys was having an amazing season, they would probably win - especially on a playoff team.

There's a documented trend of regional bias in Heisman voting. The fact that votes will be split in the West will give Daniels an inside lane to take it.

He just did what no CFB player has ever done before.

Would it make you feel better if we put an asterisk by it like all Bama's titles in the last 20 years deserve save maybe '15?

If he destroys Jimbo and the Ags I think he wins the trophy.

Burrow was just clearly the best. And no one is clearly better than Daniels this year.

Burrow threw for over 5600 yards and had 60 TDs. He was also undefeated.
He was clearly the best by a large margin.
Jayden will not be a statistical leader in total yards or total TDs this year and he’s lost 3 games. He was also bad in the 2nd half against Bama and FSU. The only two defenses he’s played with a pulse. Before getting knocked out of the game with 13 mins left in the 4th QT, Jayden had one TD(on a well scripted 1st drive of the 2nd half) an interception and a punt on his 3 series.

Or maybe change it to something like a great player on a successful team whose contributions greatly aided in the success of that team.

Really, no offense, LSU just isn't that successful this season. And frankly, Daniels didn't do what needed to be done against Alabama even before the injury.

He was on a downward spiral way before Turner lightly touched him and gently laid him down while trying not to harm him.

Daniels, if he were a true Heisman man, would have used that game as a spotlight in the same way Manziel did when he vaulted into the head of the Heisman race with his herculean effort to drag his team along to a win over Alabama.

75% of CFB followers know he’s the best

The other 25% are Alabama fans and folks who think the big ten is “real
football”

I agree. He won’t win. He should be invited. He might be left home though if Beck or Milroe continue to shine for the next three weeks.
