I don't know why not, he is clearly the best player and has the best stats.

If not him, who?

He’s got a better shot at missing the ceremony than he does of winning it.

What did Johnny Football lead his team to?

Did 3 loss Florida win the SEC the year Tebow won it?

What did Lamar Jackson win?

Because he hasn’t won any big games and he’s not a statistical leader of TDs.
Lamar had 51 TDs that’s year.
Williams had 52 last year.
Tebow had 55 his Heisman season.
Daniels only has 33 and only has 2 games left.
The only QBs to win Heisman on bad teams are ones that are statistically head and shoulders better than everyone else.

If the Heisman voters decided to give it to a guy just based on statistics who isn’t winning any big games Caleb Williams has better stats than Daniels. He has 5 more TDs than Daniels and he’s not done playing tonight.

But if he is there it will be hard to hide the fact that he isn’t gonna win. Embarrassing for espn

Uh, did you think any other player that was invited had a prayer the year Burrow won it? Nothing was embarrassing. Burrow was just clearly the best. And no one is clearly better than Daniels this year.

I feel dumb for engaging with you but here is the definition of enable:

"give (someone or something) the authority or means to do something."

Daniels has given his team the means to win games through his play. Unless you think he should also be playing defense.

I’d rather see that USC QB win it for a second time than Daniels to win it at all. The fragile LSU fan base tears will be delicious.

Refer to my previous post. A player with 2 wins has won it. Along with several players with 3 or more losses.

Could a player with 12 losses “easily” win it? No. That’s your stipulation that you added. “Could it” be done? Yes.

Yes, thanks for that information, RBWilliams. I am not above admitting I am wrong.

That is what makes a football forum like this a valuable asset. Fans of different teams are allowed to intermingle and learn from each other.

It does seem that if LSU loses another game, he is most likely out of any consideration, as only one player has ever achieved the award with 4 losses, one with a .500 record and one with a losing record and those were quite a while ago.

Daniels doesn't check any of those boxes. What are you talking about?

That literally has never been a requirement for the Heisman.

He has 38 total TD's so far this year, not 33

Edit: He also has 2 more games left. Already on pace to break lamar's 3,500 yards passing (30tds)... Most likely won't break his 1,500 rush yards (21tds).

He probably won’t win but you act like it hasn’t been given to a player on a team with three losses before. Dumb frick.

This makes a lot of sense and is true. Caleb Williams is a better QB than Daniels. So, how could Daniels win the Heisman and not Williams?

Thanks for pointing that out.

I think he wins, who else? He’s playing better than Lamar when he won. Not to mention he’s an easy person to cheer for. I think the 85 yd run and the amount of FaceTime he was given on other games was the changing of the race. He’s easily the best qb in college since Burrow and if there was a defense he would have already been crowned. The announcers made a huge push tonight.
