What if he wins a Championship?

The pay scale for coaches has gotten silly.

Saban is underpaid.

The rest are incredibly overpaid based on his success.

Exactly, what has the guy done? Let him win some championships first.

Love it, hope he stays forever. It took our midget, walk on QB to get injured, great reason....

Florida is now paying this guy, the one who refuses to fire Todd Grantham and who lost 4 games with the best squad the school has fielded since 2009, more than both Jimbo and Kirby.

Beautiful.

That's a heck of a contract after a 4 loss season.

Appears they will have to "Rocky Top Pruitt" him to void the contract at some point...Maybe after this season.

Your midget QB know how to cover a wheel route?

Damn, just noticed we gave Georgia a better game than anyone except UF and Bama.

It appears that the Jeremy Foley era of Florida athletics is over. We are not going to be the cheapest guys in the conference anymore, which is fine by me. I have seen lots of facility improvement and now paying top dollar for coaches is alright by me. I would much rather it stay in the athletic department rather than giving millions of dollars to the school all the time.

Like Mullen or hate him, he has had some success. We will see if he can take it to the next level. I give him a 50-50 shot.

Damn. Florida told A&M to hold it's beer when it comes to overpaying a mediocre coach

It cracks me up to calculate that in a pay check. His semi-monthly pay check would be $316k and his take home $190k after taxes. The gubmunt wins again.

Yeah, Foley didn't award mediocrity and held coaches to a higher standard. Built a championship athletic department that was the envied. The issue is not with Mullen, that's fine, it's handing out extensions to the likes of Mike White, Cam Newbauer, etc. He holds coaches to low standards and as a result we are seeing our athletic program decline.
