It appears that the Jeremy Foley era of Florida athletics is over. We are not going to be the cheapest guys in the conference anymore, which is fine by me. I have seen lots of facility improvement and now paying top dollar for coaches is alright by me. I would much rather it stay in the athletic department rather than giving millions of dollars to the school all the time.

Like Mullen or hate him, he has had some success. We will see if he can take it to the next level. I give him a 50-50 shot.

You don't have to be the cheapest, but who exactly was coming after your head coach? Mullen's is making championship money. Just more pressure and a whole lot less patience from the fans and University. Seriously, ask Gus?

This. Schools wind up negotiating against themselves and the fans pay the price.

For as good as his is at scheming up individual plays, I’ve never thought of him as an excellent program manager or Gameday coach.

Jimmy Sexton is way better at negotiating than college ADs.

Sexton has probably negotiated more contracts than all ADs in SEC combined.

Give more student loans so we can make more in taxes off the rising pay of administration and coaches.

Since I guess you were on vacation and missed it.

Mullen NFL coaching rumors

I don't know why you would care how much money someone pays their coach who is already coaching there. We have extra money, so why not take care of your coaches? It puts less pressure on them. Ask Jimbo Fisher and Rob Childress who felt more pressure this season.

I like paying at the top of the market rather than giving the most money back to the university.

Do you mean when Mullens went national on HIS desire to be interviewed for an NFL head coaching job? Then when he got that Jet's interview wouldn't go?

Not exactly overwhelming evidence of great demand here. Not when it was a lot more Mullen's idea than the NFL.

At BAMA such talk will get you a oneway plane ride out of town.

I'm sorry you seem to know more about Florida football than I do.

Link please. Thanks

You asked me how much I know. I know a lot about a little. Like everyone else. And you want a singular/definitive article where Mullen purges his innermost thoughts and completely deviates from coach-speak? Or it didn't happen?

His interest happened and at BAMA that's a no-no.

Mullen, in the real world, made it abundantly clear he would listen to NFL offers. Adam Schefter and others said as much. Not much happened as a result. That's definitive.

And no I don't have Sexton on speed dial, but Sexton I'm sure earns his money as he does his due diligence in communicating Mullen's innermost thoughts from whomever. Maybe he'll write an in-depth article one day. Or not.

Wasn’t aware your midget QB was responsible for covering a wheel route because UGAs defense’s inability to stop the wheel route is the reason UGA lost to UF last year. UF lost Pitts too. Whats your next excuse? Mullen coached a circus around Kirby in that game.

Florida lost 4 games despite scoring a lot, so you are wrong yet again.

I'm sorry I got you all twisted up by asking for a source for your info. I don't think it is too much to ask.

So you are saying Adam Schefter knows his stuff, huh?

Mac Jones to San Francisco

You are probably right. No way he could be wrong. Thanks for the info.

Good job Gators - paying championship money to a coach that led you to the 8-4 promised land!
