My hobby is attending UGA sporting events. Haven’t missed the cocktail party since the late 70s. I’ve seen it all and don’t mind reminding the Gators of their “rich” history. Especially when one of them starts thumping his chest and talking about some faux “Gator Standard”

The "Gator Standard" is just one of Mullen's cheap marketing phrases - who cares? It's not ridiculous to have high expectations for this program.

Speaking of "rich" history, UGA is 24-27 against Florida since 1970 with 1 Heisman and 1 Natty. But go off...

I don't like Mullen, but I sure as hell am not rooting against UF. Thats fricking stupid.

How does it feel to know that you will never live long enough to see Flarder with a winning record against Georgia?

Here's Steve Spurriers Heisman celebration against Georgia.

1966: Heisman curse?

The seventh-ranked 1966 Florida Gators entered the game with a 7–0 record and the opportunity to clinch a share of their first-ever SEC title.[49] The Gators' senior quarterback, Steve Spurrier, had just locked up the Heisman trophy the previous week with a stellar performance versus the Auburn Tigers.[50] The Florida–Georgia game turned out very differently, however, as the Bulldogs defense dominated the game, and Spurrier threw three interceptions in the 27–10 Georgia victory.[51] All-American defensive tackle Bill Stanfill would later reference Spurrier in recounting his experiences growing up on a farm in southwest Georgia before the advent of weightlifting: "Holding pigs for my dad to castrate was quite a challenge. I can't say that helped prepare me for football, but it sure did remind me an awful lot of sacking Steve Spurrier."[52]

Florida is 21-8 against Georgia in my lifetime.

Do you think I care about the years that I wasn't around in?

Think Spurrier got the last laugh there. He was 11-1 against yall as our head coach but cute story from Wikipedia.

UGA still gets the win, but Florida does enough to make Mullen look competent and the Gators get a moral victory.

Maybe Merlins will get a five year extension after a 4 point loss. We should be so lucky.
