Dallas says Sankey can't do anything to the coaches/institutions and see you in court

Any proposed SEC penalty against the athletes, the schools that roster them, or the schools that compete against them and any other ineligibility theory requires leave of court.
“To be clear, it is the Court’s intention to place Plaintiffs in the position they were in at the end of their last college sports season. As long as they would have been eligible to continue playing college sports in the following semester if they had a fifth year of eligibility, they are eligible today.”
Portal / SEC transfer-rule noncompliance is not a basis to sit players and post-2025-26 pro contracts, agent contracts, or pro appearances are not a basis to sit them if they terminate and repay before a college game."

Well there goes any hope the SEC had at breaking from the NCAA and doing their own self-governance model.

It sounds like the only hope for college athletics involves Jeff Landry as the commissioner with Wade Rousse and Verge Ausberry as associate commissioners.
The only guys with half a clue about what could legally work.

Should just be referred to as the “Chambliss Strategy”. This is a step for step recreation of how Ole Miss is able to play Chambliss this season.
Just like Chambliss, these players will get their TRO, they will play and by the time anything is ruled on they will be gone and no one will be allowed to retroactively levy penalties.

This says that the SEC cannot preclude the Plaintiffs in the basis that the Plaintiffs have played 4 years. The SEC ruling had to do with the NFL, NBA, professional leagues. These are different things.
