No precipitation in the forecast. Just 35 mph NW winds and temperatures dropping in the 50s. Never seen a game postponed or played early for that kind of forecast.

Vanderbilt beats LSU 11-3 to win the series.
Vanderbilt has won 10 of their last 12 series vs LSU. I don’t see many SEC series wins in our future this year so we’ll take it.

Arkansas has now won nine consecutive series against Mississippi State.

I think State will be fine. I just don’t take much away from only winning 1 of 3 in Fayetteville in March. Kudos to Arkansas for pitching to our lineup about as well as a team possibly can, especially in Game 3.
Some of the errors in the field were uncharacteristic for State. Catcher has been a struggle lately but I do think that will start to settle down some as Milewski is working his way back into the regular rotation. That may be the scenario where the doubleheader hurt State the most. He wasn’t going to catch both games of a doubleheader just back from injury.
Bullpen roles still unidentified for sure. Need it to click for some guys, Foster specifically.
Generally though, I think the combination of State’s offense and starting pitching will carry them to a lot of wins. I do think the bullpen figuring it out or not figuring it out is probably the difference in them being a team who can win it all versus being a team who can get to Omaha but can’t win it.

sustained winds of 40 mph with gusts up to 60-65 mph are expected in Norman for game 3 today. It seems stupid to play in that when you could have played 2 yesterday.
