So you think Arkansas, who doesn’t have a title, should be ranked above State, who does?

Coming back to this...I assumed this was an upcoming season list.
There is zero reason that SC is at 44... That is wild

Nope. They dropped a pop up by first base against Oregon State. An easy out that they blew. Closest they’ve ever been.

Wow - West Virginia above Vanderbilt? The ‘Dores should be above a number of those teams including my Hogs
This was based off the last 5 years and going forward.

LOL at the "BIG" 10 having an average team ranking lower than the Sun Belt.

North Carolina at 3 and FSU at 8 is a joke. Especially with how many trips to Omaha they both have and 0 national titles

Yes, they made a horrendous hire, he's an incompetent boob, and Missouri helped Memphis get out of screwing themselves for 4-5 years, with his contact.
Missouri hired a mediocre .MEAC. Coach. To be their leader in the SEC, where it is a.meat grinder in baseball
He's not even good enough to call a dei. Hire.

Many big ten schools would love to drop baseball if they could because it’s an anchor on AD’s. But I bet it will happen to at least a few of those 18 schools who are not on the west coast

It's based off last 5 years (since 2021) and future projections:
UNC last 5 years:
CWS Runner-Up: 2026
CWS Appearances: 2026, 2024
Regional Champ: 2026, 2025, 2024, 2022
FSU last 5 years:
CWS Appearances: 2024
Regional Champ: 2025, 2024

I don't understand what winning a title has to do with this thread. I thought the OP said this was for the upcoming season.
Arky and Moo State has typically fielded good teams. However, every year is different.

South Carolina baseball's falloff should be studied.

It’s a dumb metric—just opinion.
But I would think generally that a team who has won a title in the last 5 years has a better outlook due to any bump in recruiting.
Specifically in State vs Arky’s case, I think State has a better coach, which is more important than a title 5 years ago.
In short, their metrics don’t make sense and their ranking is bad.

I can agree with you on that, and more so if they have the same HC.
Overall I the SEC is pretty stacked for baseball and I'm looking forward to the season.
