Let’s not pretend like alabama hasn’t been buying players for the last 14 years under Saban. And now Kirby learned the same ways and implemented it at Georgia.

Now suddenly that the aggies have found a legal way of paying with their Oil money and it’s “not fair” according to the rant.

I'm not mad at A&M. I don't like NIL, but why not take advantage of it?

But with the transfer portal I wonder how much a top class means anymore.

This is where I'm at.

Ohio State landed Quinn Ewers last year and he's already leaving.

It seems like rosters will be more and more fluid every season.

A top recruiting class doesn't mean much until 4-5 years after you sign it.

LSU fans are just scared. Evident by them repeating 8-4 over and over. They know that if we stack this much talent they are screwed. They live in the shittiest state in our country and football is the only thing they have going for them. Now that they suck, they wallow in misery and deflect it on others. Same with tu.

This. The portal is the NCAA free agency but I don’t think it will ruin the Team following by the fans. The 85 scholly limit means you still will be able to follow your Team without much chaos.

Where this can really make a difference isn’t the one year kid who leaves but the transfer who has actual game experience and who is good. The LSU Qb is a good example here. He can make a team much better much quicker if they are struggling at QB.

The coaches still need to stack multiple winning classes and then those prospects have to pan out while avoiding injury/ the law/ stupidity/ while being the real player their ranking supported.

I'd argue that it's worse than free agency because an NFL player can't just become a free agent any time he wants.

If anyone knows about buying players it's Auburn. Y'all have been doing it since the 1950's. Been caught twice and got away with sCam. The funny thing is with all that cheating y'all only have 2 National Championships!!!

And how many times have you been caught since we last did in 1992? I think you might want to sit this "buying players" argument out right now.

I think, although I don’t know, that most of the transfer players are kids not getting playing time.

Maybe they are homesick, maybe there’s a family issue that they would feel more comfortable being closer to home. But I think the majority is all about lack of PT which means it doesn’t effect the teams too negatively outside of depth.

LSU bought time on a Times Square billboard to celebrate./promote NIL. The posters here bragged about the gymnast cashing in on NIL.

Now NIL is not going well at all for LSU they are trying to say it is destroying everything.

You can’t make this shite up. If NIL was going great for LSU … fans would be bragging non stop in multiple daily threads.

Give us a fricking break.

You know Auburn is getting its arse kicked on a regular basis when they start accusing everyone of cheating.

Auburn is the 8-year-old COD player of the SEC.

It's not that long, especially if you have a top of the line development program and those 5*'s buy into the system early & show out on the field in yr 1-2.

Yeah, if Jimbo closes on this class and doesn’t make the playoffs by their Junior season it may be time to start looking at that buyout. I think he’ll get it done though if King or Weigman turn out to be who we thought they were.

So Alabama's been buying players for 14 years, and NOBODY has come forward to show proof or personally testify to it, huh? Man, PLEASE!

Who's saying it's "not fair"?
Anybody with shite for brains would have realized that these days were right around the corner, when the NIL rule was pasted.
Collegiate sport as we know it is GONE! I suggest you just sit back and enjoy the little time it has left.

Hell, maybe it's a good thing and we'll get back to the amateur game we knew once this completely turns into the NFL minor leagues.
I remember the "old game" and it was wonderful!

- It helps A&M that our primary competition is in flames - see OU, Texas, and LSU
- It helps that while others talk about early playing time - we are actively playing fish and true fish all over the roster
- It helps that we have another 200-300M in Athletic improvements coming
- It helps that this Houston class is TIGHT, and most if not all are going to A&M
- It helps that we went 9-1 last year, and will have multiple first round picks this year
- It helps that many of the "star" defensive players were originally three star players that were developed
- It helps that LSU tried to poach our coach and failed. Great fodder for recruiting

- And it helps that we have lots of business owners that are successful and working NIL through compliance. We just don't advertise it to the moon like the idiots next door. The Aggie Network also fits in really well with NIL and the messaging

They've been saying it for months now on the A&M boards. This is going to be an epic class

Gotta love how every school that is successful gets blamed for "buying" their players yet no proof is ever offered. They are never successful because they have better players, better coaches, better training facilities, better fans, better support, better team culture, etc. No they beat you because either they are cheating or buying their players.

What a bunch of Karens
