Well yeah they also played in two more games. Knox also missed the A&M game.
It’s pretty telling IMO that every QB that Morris played here had a much better season at their new school after they transferred. Hell I’m pretty sure Ty Storey ended up top 10 in the NCAA in passing efficiency at WKU. He was QB cancer.

Yeah we have had pretty solid QB recruiting that never paned out.

Lol
First off, pickens and Blaylock still have more catches per game than Burks and Knox. Significantly more TDs per game than them as well.
Secondly, Pickens was dinged up early in the year and got a game ejection late in the year (caught 4 passes and a TD on one half against LSU in the SECCG and 1 pass for a 41 yard TD in just over a half against Tech).
Blaylock tore his ACL in the first quarter of the SECCG (virtually no time in the conference championship game and missed the bowl game).

The 2018 offense was awful. No run or pass blocking, no one to throw to. He wasn't good but he wasn't the main reason the offense had problems.

So,what does this have to do with our poor coaching and qb play last year?

No offence but they are on a much better team than Arkansas. Burks didn't have any touchdowns but he did lead the team with a severe QB problem and was voted on all freshman SEC team.

It’s really a testament to Chad’s awfulness that he managed to make the qb situation in 2019 considerably worse than it was in 2018. That was an impossible task and he made it look easy.

No offense taken.
MOT shared an opinion that Arkansas had the best freshmen tandem in the conference. My opinion is different and I shared my reasoning.
I'm just glad Saturday is this close for all of us.

Gus Malzahn did this in one game in 2016.
Against the eventual CFP Champions.
And we were throwing into the end zone with a chance to win on the game's final play.
Football is funny.

This still amazes me. Dude is probably the most physically gifted player from Arkansas since McFadden and we couldn’t even get him a TD. I know he’s returning punts and kicks but Briles better find a way to get him the damn ball better/more than the last staff did.

I think this staff will be smart enough to utilize Burks as much as possible.
Last year was a joke.
