THE RALLY SONG

While their official fight song, Hail to Georgia, is original Georgia is best known for "Glory, Glory", a rally song set to the Battle Hymn of the Republic, which the Redcoats play incessantly. The rally song has eclipsed the popularity of "Hail" which is no longer even sung.

"BULLDOG RED"

When Georgia and Georgia Tech first ever met on the field in 1893 they both wore old gold. Georgia Tech proceeded to beat that arse 28-6 (in Athens) and Georgia surrendered gold like a little bitch and adopted what they called "Good Old Georgia Red" or #BA0C2F. The title was only half correct, it wasn't "Georgia" but it was old because St. John's University had already been wearing it for seven years. The Braves have since adopted it giving it far more exposure than Georgia ever could.

"1785"

Georgia loves that year. They plaster it everywhere so they can make it on those "oldest universities in America" lists but what actually happened that year? Nothing. Abraham Baldwin said "Hey, maybe a college is a thing we should do" and the Georgia Legislature said "Cool Man, we'll think about it", no further action was taken until 1799. The first building wasn't completed until 1805. They love 1785 but they didn't award a degree for more than two decades after that.

MUH BIG SIX

The "Big Six" moniker has traditionally referred to the six SEC schools that have dominated the conference in football since the 1960s and while Georgia, along with Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, and Alabama, can claim membership they dickride their "peers" and drive the title in to the ground. They do this out of insecurity with their mediocrity on the national stage.

Georgia: 1

Every other Big Six member, and both of UGA's traditional out-of-conference rivals in Clemson and GT, have won National Championships more recently than Georgia.

Georgia waves the Big Six banner around completely unaware of how it embarassing it is for the other members to include them. Georgia is to the Big Six as Spain is to Europe, "Yea technically you're one of us but you're a shite show and were only great for a little while way before any of us were born".

Georgia, envious of Alabama's success, decided they were going to go shoping for their own manlet defensive mastermind. Instead of a Croatian-American Football God they got the man-child version named after a shitty Japanese video game character.

Georgia hoped they could emulate some of Miami's chippiness and attitude by hiring former Hurricane Mark Richt. He did his best to build Convict U-North but it hasn't and never will match the original article in Miami.

The colony of Georgia was founded in 1733 as a penal colony and buffer state to protect South Carolina from Spanish Florida. It was named for George II, the German King of Great Britain. It was the second Georgia to appear on the globe following the Kingdom of Georgia which predated it by more than 700 years.
