I said Atlanta can accommodate more which is accurate
While true, both cities can handle many times more than this game could ever draw so it's not relevant.
Sorry if I was being obtuse but I had flashbacks to a similar discussion I had last year with a dawg that was positive that Nashville and, specifically, Nashville's airport couldn't handle an SECCG.

New Orleans has hosted Super Bowls.I think more ppl travel to superbowls than any sec championship game.

Atlanta is the worst city in America. Anywhere but Atlanta. Atlanta is dumb enough to run two major freeways, 75 and 85, together right in downtown making impossible to drive through. Nashville is more central to the conference as a whole.

Traffic is bad in Nashville too with 40, 65, and 24 running threw it.

It sucks. Chattanooga is worse but Nashville is getting close. Stop moving here.
Without accidents, it takes me 25 minutes to downtown Nashville or an hour and a half.

It’s more SEC than Austin or Dallas.
I agree with your Aggie disagree. Since the SEC has expanded west, so should the cities that host SEC events. Houston ought to be in the circuit. First class facilities, the BBQ capital of the world. and hometown of Billy Gibbons.
Has a large contingent of Aggie and Longhorns (obvious) but also Sooners and Tigers (LSU).

Houston is not sec country
It's more of an SEC city than any other conference, but still far behind the Texans and Astros.

Atlanta is one of the most affordable convention centers in the world and that is not going to change anytime soon. Nashville is a nice little town but motels are way too few to accommodate events like Atlanta can. Coupled with the busiest and, more importantly, most efficient airport in the world and adequate ground transportation and proximity to SEC HQ Atlanta is the logical choice now and for the foreseeable future. Flights and rooms alone make Atlanta far more appropriate than any city in the region.

I think it should be in Memphis. There's so many things you can do there. You can play give up your wallet, hide your car, duck and dive, pick the one that robbed you, perform life saving measures on a friend, etc.

should rotate Nashville Dallas/Houston New Orleans Atlanta Tampa/Orlando Birmingham
Take out Dallas/Houston area and rotate the rest. Dallas/Houston isn’t SEC territory.

Honestly, a rotation with Atlanta, Nashville and New Orleans make the most sense in terms of proximity to a decent number of SEC schools and each location's capability of hosting major events.
Dallas/Houston could also be in the mix, but they're at more of a geographical disadvantage.

Atlanta PURPOSELY designed where 2 major roads cross each other.

Stadium size is not the only thing when deciding where events are held. Atlanta can accommodate way more people than Nashville can hell the only city listed here that can rival Atlanta in that is Dallas
All you need to be concerned with is capacity to accommodate the number of people anticipated for the event itself. If you are sending 60,000 people to a city...does it matter if they can accommodate 1,000,000 or 5,000,000? All you are really worried about is do they have sufficient capacity to handle the number of people you will need to accommodate, along with everything else they have going on. Both Nashville and Atlanta have sufficient capacity to handle any SEC Championship Event.

Next, please tell me about how our airport couldn't handle the traffic. I always enjoy those.
I had a layover in Nashville last week. First time through that airport, and was pleasantly surprised. Awesome food options, live music, tons of shopping. It just felt like an extension of Nashville's lower Broadway. Everything was clean and the employees we ran across were friendly. You don't get that in the ATL. Of course I live in Birmingham so if I were to go to an SEC championship in either city I would just drive, but for those flying in for a game, based on the airport and city as a whole, Nashville would get my vote.

They have done a lot to the airport in the last 10 years. It was arse before then.

Not to mention a couple of major east coast rail yards and the busiest airport in the world. Transportation is a major factor in Atlanta being the capital of the empire state of the south. Transportation is a major factor in Atlanta being the only true major city in the SE that is not isolated in the northern Caribbean. Its completely understandable how so many folks in the region despise Atlanta. It is a LOT to take compared to every other city in the South East. It is also the only true major city in the South East that isn't isolated from the rest of the country by being stuck in the Carribean. Almost everyone in the region has cause to be in Atlanta a couple of times a year. Its where people in the region go to experience culture, do business, travel. Its where their children go to start their careers and its where their grand kids are born and raised. It is understandable that so many hate Atlanta....for people who think Panama City Beach and Gatlinburg are exotic locations Atlanta is a LOT.....

Some very quick searching indicates that 4 and 5 star hotels in Atlanta run, on average $341 a night on random weekends. The same rooms run $596 a night in Nashville. Its even worse for 3 star (Hampton Inn types). They run about $149 in Atlanta and about $386 in Nashville. The reason is there are simply far more rooms in Atlanta than there is in Nashville. Metro Nashville is home to 2 million people. Metro Atlanta is home to 6 million. Atlanta is 3 times bigger than Nashville, had far more flights at better fares and far more rooms at better rates.

Nashville can host an NFL game and NHL game at the same time and easily handle a quarter million for CMA every year but we couldn't handle a single football game? Next, please tell me about how our airport couldn't handle the traffic.
Nashville and Atlanta are pretty equal in those respects.
The one big thing Atlanta has that most of the other potential host cities don't is a convention center virtually right next door to the stadium. That makes it super easy to host SEC FanFare on the day of the game, including the bands, cheerleaders, and team walk. You can't do that in New Orleans with the convention center on the river and the Superdome where it is. Not sure where to Nashville would host it.
