Really. Y'all went from empty stadiums and 4 conference win seasons to this in a blink of a eye. Very impressive.

Now if we could just go from 0 win seasons and an empty arena to 8 win seasons and a half-filled arena, I would be happy.

Just remember, the point guard on Kentucky’s team played at Georgia. The crazy guy making faces after drilling multiple threes and causing chaos with his defense for Auburn played at Georgia. The number one pick in the 2020 draft played at Georgia. And Georgia can’t figure out how to win.

I won’t even mention Walker Kessler and Jabari Smith playing HS ball in Georgia’s back yard.

He's an UGA legacy, right?

I think he is the nephew of a UGA legacy, but there have been a couple of Kesslers at UGA, so he might be a son.

Yeah, but you seem to forget that in 2003, Crean
won the Clair Bee Coach of the Year Award,
recognizing the coach who cared most about his
player's well-being and promoted positive character.

Appreciate it.

I think Georgia is going to have a very tough time building a competitive basketball program with Auburn being so close to Atlanta and having Bruce Pearl. He’s going to take a lot of elite players from the area.

It's sold out Feb. 5th but you may not like who is filling most of the seats.

The "UGA has so many reasons they should be good basketball" take gets beaten to death every year during basketball season but is still so true every time it gets brought up.

They just don't care about it. At all. It would take a one man wrecking crew type of coach like Pearl to come in and turn that thing into something that works consistently and at a high level. And there aren't many Pearls laying around. And even fewer that are out of a job and looking.

They have to go out and hire an enthusiastic coach with a fun style that works their arse off, recruits, doesn't give a frick, etc. They need to hire a Muss/Oats/Wade type. The guy from Oral Roberts, the young guy from South Dakota St, Bob Richey from Furman, somebody like that. They should have hired Forbes from ETSU but they missed out there.

I mean, I understand that as an administration not valuing basketball to the level you do football is a thing. But to be completely indifferent to its state and outwardly not giving a damn is an entirely different thing. Willingly paying that type money for that product and those results, despite how much you "don't care" isn't a good look.

If you're going to put a team on the court, at least try to win some games.
