This is what I hoped to find out in this game. Media was underselling LSU based on the past couple yrs track record and that is fair. I was hoping they were wrong. LSU spent a lot of money rebuilding that defense and OL. But you never know what you got until you play somebody else.
The thing the media missed was last season BK didnt want to pay for top players and all he got out of the portal was bargain players that were not good. This year he went into the portal immediately, dropped some good cash on players he wanted, and patched his holes up with decent players. Oddly enough we can thank Bryce Underwood for that. His decommitment freed up a lot of cash
