Shoulda been Burrow again

Can’t give it to Burrow every week I guess

Too bad he doesn’t play in the SEC. which begs the question.. why are you posting this here?

I get it. Award goes to teams with mediocre defenses so the QB can put up big numbers to win the game.

3 turnovers and less yards and TD's than Burrow. Congrats!

3 turnovers, only 71% completion, less than 300 yards passing.
Joe Burrow is laughing.

At least I don’t post threads on this board that are about something outside the SEC. Go Buckeyes, they’re what you wish OU was this year.

Maybe you don't realize it, being an Ohio State guy and all, but like a lot of Ohio fans follow Joe Burrow, a lot of SEC fans follow Hurts as he was, you know, the starter for Alabama for several years and won 25 games, a national title, SEC player of the year, SEC freshman player of the year, won two SEC championships.

Hurts:
411 total yards, 4 TDs, 3 TOs. Led 24 point comeback.
vs previously undefeated Baylor
Burrow:
515 total yards, 5 TDs, 2 TOs. No comeback.
vs 4-win Ole Miss
It honestly seems that Hurts is getting the award for coming back, and technically it was against a much better opponent.

For the season, he doesn't have the signature wins of LSU, but no team in NCAA history (since 1938) has come back from that big a deficit against an unbeaten ranked team. Ever. Until last night.
For that, he deserves recognition.

I'm happy that Jalen doesn't end his last CFB season empty handed.

Perhaps Hurts shouldn’t have sucked in the first half.

previously undefeated Baylor? Baylor would have been 5-4 at best in the SEC. More likely 4-5.

Dude.... it was Baylor. Their best win in that unbeaten streak was what? A 4-loss Iowa State team? Let's tap the brakes a bit.

Well isn’t that what Alabama and LSU are this year. I mean we can’t really bag on anyone’s defense this year. We stink in defense. That said I do t know how you account for three turnovers and win QB of the week.

Are they though? It’s hard to tell with the high school teams they are playing against.
