I look forward to the next 20 years after Saban retires. People thought the post Bryant years obsession was bad, I can only imagine. Get your popcorn.

That might happen, but until Coach Saban retires, Alabama will continue to win NCs. I can see Alabama winning 3 more before Coach Saban retires, and 1 more after due to the level of recruits at the school.

It's all according to who comes in after Saban. After all Gene Stallings won a natty here and came very close to getting a shot at 2.

Mal Moore was a visionary. He got Nick Saban to see what could be done here. Winning has gone on at Alabama for a very long time, that's why there are statues of five men in front of the stadium.

It will go on after Nick Saban is gone, with the right man at the helm.

That's a pretty big incentive for someone with an ego, to get a statue out there. Only the very best in the business can get one.

It's ALL these Douche-bags have as an argument...I find it hysterical...if it's an asterisk season...Ask Muschamp, Malzahn ...hell, even Polini if the season mattered

The "asterisk season" argument would definitely have more validity if it wasn't for the fact that Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee and even Vanderbilt fired their head coaches after disappointing seasons.

It’s actually threads like this one that are keeping the asterisk season relevant.

Just imagine if Alabama didn't make 22 3's, then they'd be screwed

Why do you guys keep doing this?

I used to think they were all trolls. Now I'm convinced many of them are actually that fricking stupid.

Man, LSU needs to cheat just to reach the level of "gets arse kicked by Bama."

Kinda sad really.

Sad, as a kid growing up in the Big 8 days I always kind of pulled for LSU in the SEC. Had loads of respect for them and their fanbase as well. When joining the SEC the fanbase overall was pretty cool with Mizzou, not like some bottom feeders who were worried about getting plunged farther down the toliet. But now, the LSU fanbase is pathetic in their envoy of their lords and master, the Tide and Saban.

It is quite sad, they think everyone else hates Bama just as much.

They don't even realize how sad and pathetic they are with their crying about asterisks, chargers, refs, oversigning, mulligans, sec office, etc etc etc.

Nobody whines like LSU.

I mean, this is a fanbase that paid to have Billboards put up to "free" a player who was suspended for half a game for a penalty that every SEC teams has had players suspended for.

Like they are somehow victims of something that the rest of us have never dealt with.

and thanks to LSU for playing a part in making that glorious championship season happen. It wouldn't have been the same without the massive beat down of Ed O's tiggahs.

Then why did that lil bih Watford complain that he couldn't hear last night on the shot clock violation? I guess the silence was deafening.

During an interview with Rivals national recruiting director Mike Farrell, the Alabama head coach was asked when he planned on eventually hanging up his whistle.

Saban’s response: “No time soon.”

“I don't have a timeframe,” he expanded. “I love doing what I'm doing. I love being in a position of leadership. I love to be able to impact young people in a positive way and help them be more successful in life.

“If I didn’t think I was contributing to the program in a positive way, then I would consider not doing it.”

Saban certainly seems to be contributing to the program just fine — on and off the field.
